One FAMOUS Baptist theologian says that the divine nature in Christ was ignorant

"I think it is likely that Millard Erickson’s Christology is more
extensively different from other evangelicals in his teaching that the divine nature of Christ gave up the use of His
divine powers as God when adding humanity to His Person. . . ."
His view is problematic. But then so is mine, simular but totally different.

The Son as the Word was always God, and never ceased being God. Malachi 3:6, ". . . For I am the LORD, I change not; . . ." But twice the written word says,He was also someone other than God being "with God, John 1:1-2. They have always been the same God and always been two different Persons. So the Son could and did limit Himself per the Father's will. Mark 13:32, Jesus explains in Acts 1:7, ". . . And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. . . ." And the Son never ceased to be the Creator, Hebrews 1:3.

That said, Erickson was wishy washy on a lot of things. I read his entire Systematic Theology.

 

I am not saying there is anything wrong with it. Go ahead. Just know that very few will read an uploaded document. And most people will not click on a link.
