This is the day

    Each day is the day the Lord has made, but are we glad and rejoicing in it?

    Are we thinking of another day? Yesterday or tomorrow perhaps.

    Are we present with Jesus today?

    Each day only has a day’s portion given to us, yesterday’s is gone, and tomorrow’s is not yet given.

    The daily bread is sufficient for the day.

    If we were shown the total sum of all our labours of all our days, we would baulk at it and lose heart.
    This is not how our Loving God wants us to be.

    He wants us to follow day by day in Love and Trust, with glad and rejoicing hearts.

    And as sleep is our preparation for death, we Hope in a new and never ending day made by His hands.

    Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and pleading with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

    It is ok to be wisely cautious and bring our concerns to God, but our overriding attitude should be "God's grace is sufficient for me." As the Preacher said, "Love God and enjoy life."
