I am currently reading into the Book of Enoch in which he made a little headway into our current Bible...

And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him. - Jude 1:14-15

And behold! He cometh with ten thousands of His holy ones. To execute judgement upon all and to destroy all the ungodly: And to convict all flesh of all the works of their ungodliness which they have ungodly committed and of all the hard things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him. - Book of Enoch 1:9

Reading into the Book of Enoch I find largely judgements against the Ungodly. After reading into most of that I went to church this morning thankful we live in the age of grace where we can find a walk with the Holy Spirit. I also wonder why more of Enoch was not included in our compilation of scripture.

    Dear brother -

Please do not read the Book of Enoch. I have read them [all three] with the intent to persuade someone, who believed them scripture, to turn away from them. It is NOT written by the Enoch of the Bible. We don't know the parties who wrote it, but it was written 100 to 300 years before Jesus was born.

It is NOT written by the Enoch of the Bible.

Either the Book of Enoch is true or the Bible is true. They can't both be true as they teach opposing things.
    • The Bible says that Noah built the ark. The Book of Enoch says that the angels, alone, did.
    • There is a lot of angel "worship" in the Book of Enoch. In fact, in a couple of stories, the angels know more than God and have to explain things to God.
    • The Bible says that when Enoch was taken by God that he was no more - never seen again. The Book of Enoch says that he WAS found. By Lamech. It says when baby Noah was born that he look scary! He had laser-beam eyes! And spoke in full sentences. Lamech was terrified and went to Methuselah and asked what to do. Methuselah said to find Enoch and he would know what to do.
    • So Lamech went on the hunt for Enoch and found him where God has placed him - living with the fallen demons!! The fallen demons wanted to go to heaven again and begged Enoch to be their "lawyer". Enoch wrote up a document to present to God on their behalf.
    • The Bible says that sin came to earth from one man - Adam [and his wife Eve]. The Book of Enoch says that sin came to humanity from an angel named Azazel [not the devil as Azazel was apparently in the Book of Enoch was put in the pit for eternity.. This book says that Azazel came to earth with his pen and ink and wrote down all the ways to sin and taught those sins to mankind.
    • And the Book of Enoch says that the women who had babies with angels in Genesis 6 - born children either 450 or 4500 feet tall. It tells two different versions. AND that those women turned into half-bird half-women creatures.
The Book of Enoch are filled with nonsense, idolatry, stupidity, lies, and should not be held up as truth or scripture.

Or even as something worth reading.

David Jeremiah did a good job referring to Enoch around 6:00 in this week's sermon...

Dr. Jeremiah was referencing the REAL Enoch from the Old Testament, not a fictional Enoch that the false book of Enoch was named after.
