Jacob have I Loved, but Esau have I Hated; The Purpose of God, According to Election; Romans 9:13,11

"Who are the souls within all of Mankind who God Hates?

They are sinners, "workers of iniquity", Psalm 5:5;

"The foolish shall not stand in Thy Sight:
Thou Hatest all workers of iniquity."

God sees "the foolish" and "workers of iniquity",
not men, as men, but as sinful men;
and not all men that sin, or have sin in them
are "the foolish" or "workers of iniquity",

"because then all sinful men would be Hated,
because all men have sinned in Adam,
and all men have sinned by committing actual
personal transgressions of God's Laws
and none, even the best of men, are without sin, Romans 3:23;

"For all have sinned, and come short of the Glory of God;"

1 John 1:8; "If we say that we have no sin,
we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us."

but all men are "foolish", "workers" of sin,
whose whole lives are one continued series of sinning;

"to those it will be said, by Jesus, I "never knew you";
in other words, Jesus is literally
telling these "workers of iniquity" and sin,
"I never Loved you, I always Hated you"
"depart from Me, ye that work iniquity", Matthew 7:23,

"The foolish" "workers of iniquity" make a trade of sin;
they continually make sin the business of their lives,
and constantly commit sin, John 8:34;

"Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you,
Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin."

1 John 3:8,9; "He that committeth sin is of the devil;
for the devil sinneth from the beginning.

"and God is Impartial, He Hates "all the workers of iniquity";
as in Romans 2:8,9; "But unto them that are contentious,
and do not obey the Truth,
but obey Unrighteousness, Indignation and Wrath,

9 "Tribulation and Anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth Evil,
of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile."

"The scriptures speak of a Hatred of some persons antecedent to sin,
and that Hatred as also having taken place
without the consideration of any sin involved;

"which, though there is a Hatred of some persons before they sinned,
or before they were seen as sinners, may be hard for us to account for;

"yet the Spiritual Reality of the Hatred of some persons before they sinned
may be understood in a Good sense,
and consistent with The Perfections of God,
because of what has already been said of His Hatred of sin and sinners;

"since it is said of Jacob and Esau, personally considered;
"Jacob have I Loved, but Esau have I Hated", Malachi 1:2,
and which was before the one, Jacob, had done any Good,
or the other, Esau, had done any Evil;
as the Apostle expressly says, #Ro 9:11-13;

"The children not being yet born, neither having done any good or evil;
that the Purpose of God, according to Election, might stand;
not of works, but of Him that Calleth; it was said unto her", to Rebekah,
the mother of them, while they were in her womb,
"the elder shall serve the younger;
as it is written, Jacob have I Loved, but Esau have I Hated".

"And what is said of Jacob and Esau, personally considered,
is true of all the objects of Election and Non-Election.

"And now let it be observed, that this Hatred is NOT to be understood,
of any Positive Hatred in the Heart of God towards the Non-Elect,
but of a Negative and Comparative Hatred of the Non-Elect;

"that whereas while some souls are Chosen of God, and Preferred by Him,
and are Appointed to Obtain Grace and Glory, from Eternity Past,
and to be brought to Great Dignity and Honour;

"others are Passed By, Neglected, Postponed,
and which is called a Hatred of them;
that is, a Comparative Hatred,
in Comparison of the Love shown, and the Preference Given to others;

"in this sense where there is a Comparative Hatred,
in Comparison of the Love shown, and the Preference Given to others,
the word 'hate' is used in Luke 14:26.

"If any man hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children,
and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be My Disciple":

"the meaning of which cannot be,
that a man must have a Positive Hatred of their Near Relations,
and of his own life;

"but that he should be negligent of these Near Relations, etc.,
where they seem to even seem to 'hate' them
in comparison to the 'Love' they have for Jesus Christ;
when they may be seen
to have less affection for their Near Relations, etc., than for Jesus,
and so they are definitely seen to prefer Jesus, comparatively speaking,
even to their own Near Relations, etc.;

"Then, in like sense the person who will apparently
'hate' their Near Relations, etc.,
in comparison to the Love they have for Jesus Christ,

"we are to understand the above expression
concerning Esau, and all Reprobates:
in that same sense as above, regarding God saying,
"Jacob have I Loved, but Esau have I Hated",

"because, when God said "Esau have I Hated",
we know that from God's Perspective, God Viewed, "Esau have I Hated",
as compared to where God said, "Jacob have I Loved".

After all, Jacob was Saved and is in Heaven, today,
while Esau remained lost and is in Hell Fire, today.

We certainly are not able to consider God as having ever "Loved" Esau,
since God Judged Esau left in his sins, as being Eternally guilty before God
and sent him to go to suffer in the torment of Hell Fire, FOREVER.

And just so that:

The Acts of Hatred in God's Divine Will Toward sin,
like here: "Jacob have I Loved, but Esau have I Hated",

as being The Purpose of God, According to Election;
from Romans 9:13,11, may appear even clearer to us,

it should be observed, concerning this business
where we read, God "Hates all workers of iniquity", etc.,
that there are;

The Two Acts of God's Divine Will with Regard to sin,
shown in THE BIBLE;

The First Act of God's Divine Will
is a Will Not to Bestow Benefits of Special Goodness;
Not to Give Grace, Nor to Raise to Honor and Glory:

and this God may do antecedent to,
and without any consideration of the existence of sin in a soul;

"but God may Act according to His Sovereign Will and Pleasure,
since He is under No Obligation to Confer Spiritual Benefits,
but may Bestow Spiritual Benefits on whom He Pleases;
as God Himself says,

"Is it Not Lawful for Me to Do what I Will with Mine Own?";
Matthew 20:15.

The Second Act of God's Divine Will Toward sin,
is to Inflict Punishment for Evil;
and that is always for sin,
and in consideration of the specific sins committed;

"for though sin is Not the Cause
of The Act of God's Will to Inflict Punishment for sin,
sin is the Cause of the Thing Willed,
which is Not Willed without the consideration of sin;

they are the wicked God has Made,
or Appointed to The Day of Evil, and no other;
ungodly men, whom God has Foreordained
to that Condemnation, Vessels of Wrath, Fitted for Destruction
by their behavior and acts of personal sins AGAINST A HOLY GOD;

on whom it is The Will of God to Show His Wrath,
and Make His Power known, #Pr 16:4 Jude 1:4 Ro 9:22.

"In The One Act, Hatred, or a Denial of Grace,
is without the consideration of sin;

"in The Second Act, Hatred, or a Will to Punish,
is with the consideration of sin;

Punishment being only Willed for the sins committed:

"but then God never Hates His Elect in any sense;
they are always Loved by Him;
to which Hatred is the opposite:

"God may be Angry with His Saved Elect,
and chastise His Saved Elect for their sins;
yea, He may, as He says, and as they apprehend,
in a little Wrath hide His "Face" from His Saved Elect;

"but God never Hates His Elect;
and though He Hates their sins,
and shows His Resentment at His Elect,

"He still Loves them Freely; Renews,
and Raises them up by Repentance,
when fallen into sin, and Manifests
and Applies His Pardoning Grace to His Elect,
and never Bears any Hatred to their persons, again,
as God's Saved Elect."
