    ANOTHER JESUS

    2 Corinthians 11:3-4
But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.

The prevailing doctrine of most all "christian" religions is that, their god wants everybody to be saved, their jesus died so that anybody can be saved and you can be saved IF you meet certain conditions. This god never violates anyone's free will to compel them to come to himself and this jesus didn't finish salvation, but simply did his part in the hopes that you would come along someday and do your part to finish this new birth. Your part is your repentance, your faith, your baptism, etc. Your assurance is based on your changed lifestyle, your dedication, your perseverance, etc.

It is commonly held that the vast majority of mankind will "bust hell wide open" and few will be saved. By any measure then, their god is a miserable failure. The only sovereign entity in this equation is a dead sinner who tells his god, if, how, where, and when he'll be saved. This god is but an idol of self righteous men's imaginations. This jesus is indeed another Jesus, who has no power at all to save, yet millions upon millions do indeed bear with him.

The God of scripture is an Almighty Sovereign who has decreed all things from eternity for his own glory.

    Isaiah 45:20-21
Assemble yourselves and come; draw near together, ye that are escaped of the nations: they have no knowledge that set up the wood of their graven image, and pray unto a god that cannot save.
Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me.

This God is indeed a just God and his law and justice has been eternally satisfied in the finished work of Christ alone. He is the Saviour of every single soul represented by Christ in his obedience unto the death of the cross. There are no further conditions for any man to meet for Christ declared, "It is finished."

The child of God is accepted by God in the Beloved and in his righteousness alone. There is no "good" work that can improve upon, or embellish his righteous perfections. Faith, as well as repentance, are gracious gifts of God and therefore the fruit of a salvation already accomplished by Christ alone. You are either clothed in his righteousness alone, or the filthy rags of your own supposed righteousness.

To be found in Jesus Christ who actually finished salvation is glorious, while seeking to finish what your jesus did by doing your part is looking to another Jesus who cannot save.

    Romans 10:2-3
For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.
For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

We are the vilest of the vile until God alone intervenes... Jesus WILL save ALL his FATHER gave him and not lose a one... Brother Glen:)

    Revelation 7:9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;

10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.

Salvation can be only be had as the gift. . . . he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Ephesians 2:5, by grace ye are saved.

How is your name in His book?

Romans 11:6, And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.

Galatians 2:21, I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
