SPIRITUAL AND PHYSICAL

Romans 2.25-29

All physical rituals have their Spiritual side, and they reveal something that is not seen but can be obtain only through Spiritual knowledge enlightened by GOD. Here Paul presented a good example of such transformation of physical Ritual of Circumcision to a Spiritual Circumcision.

On the 8-th day after the birth all males must be circumcised according to the Law of Moses. Circumcision means relationship with GOD according to blood (genealogy). Blood contains the spirit of every living thing, and such act of physical circumcision considered to be the act of blood-related union between two parties, just like the blood of brothers who are born from the same father and mother.

Why it has to be a reproductive organ to be circumcised? Because it is source of generational reproduction, and such circumcision assures that all following generations from this particular organ related to GOD by its blood of circumcision.

Paul here made sure for everyone to understand that Spiritual Circumcision is much higher and much more important than physical circumcision. Because Physical Circumcision Circumcises only physical flesh, but the Spiritual Circumcision Circumcises Heart - the Soul of the person, establishing relationship not by blood of genealogy but by Spirit of Spirituality between Spirit of GOD and a spirit of a person, which is much higher standard.

So, as we can see from this example, every physical Ritual has its Spiritual side, and Jesus in His teaching constantly made emphasis on Spirituality of the Law of Moses and not on its Physical-Ritual side which Israelites obeyed to some extend but forgot about Spiritual side of the same Law.

Under Christ Spirituality means everything and without it the worship and service of GOD is impossible. Rituals on the other hand took a second place and after destruction of the Temple some 37 years after physical death of Christ Rituals completely lost their meaning and purpose.

GOD is the Spirit and must be worship only in spirit of His worshiper (John 4.23-24), other worships of GOD are not count.

Bible have number converted physical rituals into spiritual rituals such as: Offering of Sacrifices (Sacrifice of Christ), Baptism (by Holy Spirit and Fire), Passover (the Body of Christ as Bread and His Blood as Wine) Circumcision, and even the Feast of Tabernacles will celebrated by all nations of the world that symbolizes now Spiritual Exodus from the slavery of this physical world into Spiritual World as a permanent residence.
