Then you do not know what the Republic is about nor what it was founded on. You may want something different but what you want is not the founding of this country.

    Dear Republicans:

We have a presidential nominee. We have a vice-presidential nominee. We have congressional nominees. We have down ballot nominees.

I understand that many of you are very disappointed. I'm personally disappointed that some of my issues were not included in the party platform. That just means I have to work harder in the next election cycle. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.

Some of you are even thinking about not voting. Let me dissuade from that.

Not voting means you ARE voting. You are voting for post-birth abortions, open borders, radical sex and gender ideology, crackdowns on free speech and religious liberty, and Communist-style economic policies.

For the sake of the country, set aside your hurt feelings. It's time to unite and stop the Communist march on DC.

    Kindly,
    Todd Starnes

That is nonsense. To not vote is to simply not vote. Period.

And a similar "Dear Democrat" letter could just as easily state, "It's time to unite and stop the MAGA National Conservative march on DC."

People whose hatred for Trump is greater than their love for our country are officially part of the problem!

There is much more hatred from the left towards Trump. Between the two who just recently survived an assassination attempt? People in America who truly love America are not the problem.

    Not joking.

I spend time on Facebook and on Twitter. There is LOTS of vitriol spewed by supporters of both major party candidates.

No doubt you can find hatred on both sides yet who was convicted of 34 felonies and who just recently barely survived an assassination attempt?

From somebody who doesnt vote, this is not factual.

Both sides claim that not voting is a vote for the other party. But it isn't.

Many do not vote because they do not like the candidates. These represent a pool of potential votes that express the need for a change to "win" their vote (they will not be bought cheaply).

In terms of politics this is more problematic. It represents the idea that we should not vote for a political candidate but for a political party.

There are also those, like me, who do not vote because of religious convictions. We can appeal to the 1st four centuries of the Church (we can use their arguments to explain our convictions). But I think the best appeal is to Scripture - here one must follow their convictions by voting for a candidate, party, or abstaining from voting.

Politically the above letter makes sence (it is an appeal to gain the vote of Christians). But Biblically it merely encourages some to cast a vote against their convictions which is to encourage sin.

Each must follow their convictions. To do otherwise is to sin.

Yes. The jury heard the evidence and rendered a verdict. In the U.S. system of justice, that is how it works, whether we like the result or not.

We are all vile sinners voting for other vile sinners to rule over us. Adam and Eve rejected God's government in the Garden of Eden. The formation of human governments became a necessary evil. Thus all human governments are corrupt.
