Good, we agree. Seems to me that you should move on from the subject, then.

LOL. I expected nothing less. When confronted to defend your positions, you do exactly what your choice for president does. She does everything but actually answer the question. You don't need to answer. Your responses in this whole discussion have revealed what I already suspected.

Playing, maybe not, ignorance again. You are too predictable.

Did you read his responses to this? He absolutely, either by ignorance or on purpose, has no clue what you are saying. It is kind of sad actually.

We only agree in what we think is right. We differ in priorities.

As a compromise to get the political things you like you are willing to support the government requiring states to perform abortion as birth control, expanding the power of the federal government over its citizens, the government paying for transition surgeries in some cases, requiring insurance to cover transitiin surgeries, and parents having the right to transitiin their pre-teen children (something I believe is abuse).

    That is where we differ.

Yes, you did. You said that you were going to vote for Harris, and then added if you vote at all.

Those things are a part of Harris' statements of what she will do as President. So if you support her for the office then you are supporting what she will do as President.

Dishonest. You did. You said that you would, later changed it to a probably, support Harris with your vote.

That is supporting what Harris said she will do if elected.

If you vote for Harris then you would be supporting those things by voting to make those things she said she would do happen.

Whether we vote or not doesn't matter.

I knew when I voted that I was voting for a person to be elected to an office. And I knew this was showing support for that candidate to do what that candidate says he or she will do.

The folks who created the political system in the United States - a LONG time ago - set it up in such a way as to require compromise to get political things done; meaning that Americans would have to swallow some stuff they don't agree with in order to get some stuff they do agree with.

@JonC, your badgering of me in this thread has been beneficial to me. Your badgering has reminded me about the necessity of compromise that the Framers of the U.S. Constitution built into the system back in 1787. Thus, you have helped me to firm up my support for Vice President Kamala Harris. It is now settled in my mind. Thank you, Jon, thank you very much. :Thumbsup

I personally believe @KenH is intentionally being dishonest because here doesn't want to acknowledge the obvious. But he could be just a sheeple, unable to grasp even simple concepts. I've never met him in person. He just doesn't seem that stupid to me.

Yes. Now you are getting what I've been saying.

I am glad I could help (I don't care if you vote for Harris, I just wanted you to realize you were being dishonest about what you are willing to support to get what you want.

It's like Congress passing a bill. They compromise, and those who cannot with good conscious accept elements of the compromise vote "nay".

There are things about Harris that you like. But to support her you will have to compromise and support things you do not like.

For you, your political wants outweigh your moral objections and you will vote for Harris.

    1. You do support the government requiring states and hospitals to perform abortion as birth control.
    2. You do support the expansion of federal powers.
    3. You do support the federal government as the determining agency of "truth" and government censorship of free speech.
    4. You do support allowing parents to gender transition pre-teen children.
    5. You do support the government paying for and requiring insurance companies to pay for gender transition.
    6. You support the US carrying the financial load of NATO and the UN.
    7. You support legalizing illegal immigration. You support the US financially providing services many Americans cannot afford to those who enter the US illegally.

BUT you support those things as a compromise to gain other things Hartis promised.

    1. You prefer Hartis' military plan. Both Trump and Harris are very similar here, but there are differences.

    A. Trump strives to make the financial burden more balanced between the US and allies. Trump focuses on strengthening the US military.

    B. Harris' focus is on strengthening alliances.

No difference in spending or supporting veterans. But a difference in focus.

To me, it appears you are selling your principles at far too low a cost. My moral values are not up for sale while you are willing to compromise yours for very little.

Yes. It just depends on what you are willing to give up.

I am unwilling to comoromise my morals. I am unwilling to support sin and child abuse for politics.

But I an glad you now realize the truth.

And that is what every voter needs to decide.

@KenH is right - politics is about compromise. You have to decide what you are willing to compromise.

While it isn't a problem for @KenH , I hope most Christians will think twice about compromising Christian morals for political gain.

I am a veteran. Biden-Harris did more for veterans than did Trump.

But would I compromise moral values to support Hartis' plan to require states and hospitals to provide abortions as birth control, or to allow parents to transition pre-teen children?

Absolutely not. Why? Because I am a Christian. I cannot willingly support evil.

This is the same reason I cannot vote for the GOP.
