All the more reason to turn to the old paths, Jesus Christ and Him crucified for the sins of the world.

Simple and direct! It worked then and it works now!

Jesus taught that some of the traditions of men make God's word to no effect.

    1) Jesus died as a ransom for all, becoming the means of reconciliation for the whole of Humanity. 1 John 2:2

    2) The Bible teaches both that the guidance arising from God's word should be followed Colossians 2:8, but the traditions of men should be discarded, Matthew 15:1-9.

    3) Jesus taught we should speak boldly, plainly and clearly, that our yes should mean yes, and our no should mean no.

This is the gospel that Paul preached for how we are saved and that is by believing in Jesus Christ.

    Romans 10:8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?

17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Same as what Jesus said to Nicodemus for how and when believers are born again of the Spirit as this was to occur after His ascension which is after His crucifixion for when ever anyone believes in Jesus Christ.

John 3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

9 Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?

10 Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?

11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.

12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?

13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.

14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Can we keep it once we are born again? Jesus Christ keeps us.

John 6:39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. 40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

That is why we are warned not to grieve the Holy Spirit because He is not going anywhere as we have been bought with a price and sealed as His.

    John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Ephesians 4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

1 Corinthians 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

However, Jesus has warned believers to be ready as found abiding in Him and His words by His grace & by His help as we can do nothing without Him since He is our personal Good Shepherd & Friend to help us to follow Him and the consequence for not abiding in him is to be cut off and cast into the fire per verse 6 of John 15:1-8.

This fire is not the after life hell, but the hell on earth as that fire is sent on the world verse 49 pf Luke 12:40-49 whereby those saved believers that shall be left behind verse 46 of Luke 12:40-49 will die a physical death as not found abiding in Him and His words to be ready to go, but their spirits along with new believers that die after the rapture event, will be with the Lord in Heaven waiting for their resurrection after the great tribulation. 2 Corinthians 5:7-11 & Revelation 6:9-11 & Revelation 7:9-17 & Revelation 20:1-6

Those saved believers that get left behind will get stripes for the knowledge they had for not being ready and stripes for lack of knowledge for not being ready but stripes they will get per verses 47-48 of Luke 12:40-49,

Paul's warning in Hebrews 12:1-10 aligns with His warning in Luke 12:40-49 in that those who do NOT look to Jesus Christ daily to help them lay aside every weight ( provision for the flesh ) & sin per Hebrews 12;1-2 BUT that they are not even resisting sin per Hebrews 12:4, they will get that scourging from the Father per Hebrews 12:6 so that they may be partakers of His holiness per Hebrews 12:10.

That is why believers are to take heed how they build on that foundation laid by Jesus Christ per 1 Corinthians 3;10 as the works on it that denies Him and defiles that temple of God will be burned away but that foundation remains just as that seal of adoption does too in 1 Corinthians 3;10-17 because in spite of the physical death when that physical body is destroyed per 1 Corinthians 3;16-17, the spirit is still saved per 1 Corinthians 3;15 in that day of fire 1 Corinthians 3:13.

That is why believers are called to be ready by going to Jesus Christ for help to discern works of iniquity and to depart from those works of iniquity per 2 Timothy 2:18-22 be it religious works like the works of Catholicism or that commitment to follow Christ as if keeping it, one can gain assurance of salvation, when we are saved for believing in the Lord Jesus Christ & that God has raised us from the dead, or the works of iniquity that involves engaging in any supernatural phenomenon thinking that is the Holy Spirit when it is the spirit of the antichrist that wayward believers are chasing after to receive by a sign like the emphasis on that baptism with the Holy Ghost with evidence of tongues or that holy laughter movement, which denies Him as in us since salvation when we had first believed at the calling of the gospel, 2 Thessalonians 2;13-15 as well as abstaining from the works of the flesh with His help to resists sin daily in thought, word and deed.

So it is important to pray that He will have us ready and be willing to go and not be ensnared by the cares of this life that we would not want to leave per Luke 21:33-36 & Luke 14:15-24 as believers are even warned not to go back to their homes to get something as if they can bring it with them to Heaven in verses 31-33 of Luke 17:26-37 KJV or be like Lot's wife as left behind to die for when that fiery calamity comes on that third of the earth per Revelation 8:7.

Seeing how I had answered your questions, do you agree or do you have reproofs for what I have shared so that I may grow in the knowledge of Him?
