I early-voted yesterday morning for Trump and now I wholeheartedly regret it.

This election cycle has done a number on me. Since July, I have been ripped apart inside knowing that there is not a godly candidate at ALL! Not even a decent one. Or a truthful one.

I would lean towards voting for Trump and then he would open his mouth. I went back and forth with this as I said since July.

Harris was out as a choice for me. No way. No how.

I had made my decision to write-in someone and was at peace with that after I saw Trump's Truth Social account from back in August where he joked about Harris and Hillary and "blowj*bs". He is so gross and juvenile and NOT an adult.

Then I saw where Harris mocked Christians who came to her rally and told them that they were at the wrong rally. and how everyone there cheered with her and clapped against the Christians.

I said to myself. She CANNOT go in. What if my vote for someone else makes her slip in by a hair?

So Monday morning at 8:45 am, I cast my vote for Trump.

I got home just in time to see his little trolling of Harris by putting on a fake and scripted McDonald's show.

AND I saw his comment about the late Arnold Palmer and how large and impressive his GENITALS were. And what a physical specimen of a MAN he was.

Arnold Palmer's children are very upset. As they should be.

What actual and real man in his right mind SAYS something like that publicly? What KIND of man? An unhinged one.

America is under the judgment of God. I have believed that for years. And we are getting what we wholeheartedly deserve.

Trump got my vote yesterday. But he will never have my support or respect. The only thing he will get from me is my prayers. He has had that and now that will be all.

I feel unclean for voting for him and am in turmoil all over again. I should have done what I first decided and not voted.

Pray for me to move on. I've had headaches for the past few weeks and am not eating properly nor getting proper rest over this.

Pray for me. I have no one to tell in person or private because all my people believe him to be the most wonderful candidate. That has contributed to my feelings of despair.

I need to find a new hobby or task or direction and just let this go.

My wife and I voted yesterday also, on our area's first day of early voting.

We voted against the Anti-Christian, Anti-Zionist, LGBTQ+, Children Perverting, Baby Murdering Democrats.

We stood up against the wickedness of the Democrats and we sleep just fine.

@Scarlett O. Unfortunately, a good candidate, such as Grover Cleveland or even Ronald Reagan, is not on the ballot in 2024.

I early voted today. Fortunately, there were lots of voting machines so my time spent there was quite short. Glad to get to it done and out of my hair.

It is comforting to know that God is the One who sets up leaders, not man. Voting is merely a means that God uses in some countries. Voters really aren't choosing leaders, God is.

Don't sweat how you voted, Scarlett. Voting or not voting, or voting for this or that candidate, has nothing to do with salvation; all of the conditions for God's elect were fulfilled by Christ long ago. The elect are pilgrims on this earth and trust God to get them to eternity, and He will unfailingly do so:

Jude 1:24-25 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, to the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

My wife and I are voting early this Friday.

DT has never changed. He is the same man from 2016. Thinking he will change is an effort in futility.

IMO, you should always vote your conscience. The thing I appreciate about @KenH is his consistency on the issue.

Please don’t waste another moment worrying about it. The chances your vote will be the deciding factor in this election is zero.

Keep praying for all the candidates to govern, if elected, in a manner pleasing to God

    peace to you

I completely understand not voting for her.

How do you deal with his childish and vulgar and un-Presidential nature? Do you just call him the lesser of two evils?

Do you just overlook his conversations about Arnold Palmer's private area and much more? How do you move on from these things?

I had decided to not vote at all in this election until MO decided to add both abortion and sports betting amendments. I will be going to vote no on both. I will also now vote in some of the down ballet races. I will not vote in the Presidential race. Both candidates are completely unacceptable.

I focus on what God is doing. I thoroughly believe in the Sovereignty of God.

We have essentially a Two Party system at this time because that is God's will.

The near total absence of a bold Christian witness in American politics is a pretty strong indicator of how deep into the prophesied falling away we are.

The courage that President Trump exhibited with his foreign policy towards Israel a big plus in my book.

If it helps politics is always compromise. You prayed and voted as you believe God led you to vote. No shame in that.

As far as a hobby, how about golf? Golf is not political. Unless, apparently, you are Arnold Palmer. I'm just taking it up again after 30 years, a fractured back and knee replacement. Take up golf.

At least you voted for Trump.
    That's all that matters.

In all honesty? I don't think Trump is any more sinful than any presidential candidate who has been on the ballot for past century or two.
All men are either hidden sinners, or revealed sinners, imho.

I agree. Members of Reagan's inner circle say he was quite the reprobate behind the scenes.

It takes a "special" type of person to be a politician.

Everything has to be up for compromise, hoping to get enough of what you want to keep you in office, and accept enough of what you don't want to get some of what you want.

And, to make things worse, you have to pretend that you are unwilling to compromise in order to get elected and get reelected.

I just can't justify Trump's unhinged and foul mouth by claiming that ....well, we all sin.....so it just doesn't matter what he says or does. Just let it go.

Yes, all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. That's a Biblical truth.

Another Biblical truth is that we are not to flaunt our sin. Isaiah 3:8-10, speaking of Judah, says that showing off your sins likens you to Sodom..

I wasn't raised with or by men like Trump. Never worked with them or for them. None. Were they sinners? Yes. Am I a sinner? Yes.

I did go to college 40-45 years ago with some of the nastiest BOYS you'd ever want to meet. I learned things I didn't want to know. I learned things I didn't know existed. I rolled my eyes so much at them that I swear I could see my own brain.

But you know what happened by the time we started graduate school? They either [1] got saved or [2] just flat out GREW UP! When I talk to them and their wives and families today - it's a joy. I haven't rolled my eyes in years. :) I'm not saying they are not sinners. But they don't get their kicks anymore out of flaunting sin and showing off immoral behavior.

Trump hasn't grown up. At this stage in the game, he never will.

My vote has been cast. I believe he will be president. I believe he will make a better one than Harris/Walz.

I'm just not going to give the man a free pass to be juvenile, vulgar, and lewd just because he's a Republican and/or just because I don't want Kamala Harris as president.

He gets no free pass from me nor should be get one from anybody.

Don't sweat it people. The vote counters will decide who your new ruler is within three weeks of Nov 5th. Those who pay your vote counters decided long ago but they need you plebs to keep up the illusion of choice. It gives you that ooey, gooey feeling inside.

Whatever happens, God has nothing to do with it so you can stop deluding yourselves about that part.

Actually, as per Psalm 24:1 and Psalm 47:7, I do believe and declare that this election is under God's decision. Not our votes, in the grand scheme of things.

Ahhh sister, go back in time and recall who first created politics mess in the first place, namely the pagan Greeks & Romans. And their primary religion was honoring Mars, the god of war. So how do we as Christians align the god of war and violence with the Prince of Peace and love?
