I early-voted yesterday morning for Trump and now I wholeheartedly regret it.

I early voted yesterday with my wife about noon. There was a steady stream of people voting while I was there.

When we put the ballots in the machine, I noticed over 2100 folks had already voted in this one location in our small town.

I expect record breaking turnout this cycle

    peace to you

I was thinking about it and it kinda seems like Trump is going to get even more votes this time than last time, which was even more than he got in 2016. Unless Kamala can somehow top Biden's performance (which I find... dubious at best anyway), then I'm not sure how she pulls this off.

Polls say close race but who is actually enthusiastic about her? And more so than they were for Biden? Really?

I'm not a betting man (except for 2 dollar wagering at Keeneland twice a year), I ran across those articles the other day and linked them to this thread on a whim, just to stir up some conversation.

James Carville said a couple of weeks ago that if the Dems aren’t up by 4-5 points in popular vote, they cannot win.

The polls always error toward Dems. Expect the last few days to show a DT lead. The pollsters know if they get it wrong by a lot, no one needs to hire them.

    peace to you

I'm in no way trying to enforce the "lesser of 2 evils" thought.

What I will say is that the Scripture plainly teaches that God uses the unsaved and worldly men of this world as well as the saved and separated men of this world to bring about His will.

Trump certainly does not represent the ideal candidate I would vote for as a Christian.

But this I do know, the Democrat candidate is bringing direct opposition to the principles and values of the born-again believer in Christ.

On a scale that can't even be compared to the Republican candidate.

    Just my 2 cents worth.

yeah, what I figure is that whoever wins is a public servant, not an overlord, a dictator - that person works for you in a representative republic.

the OP is a reason I still dislike early voting - she had buyer's remorse within hours. I have had that - voted for someone (GWB and GWB) and really regretted it years later but not if the candidate didn't win. Both Trump and Harris are pretty immoral but so is the country they want to serve.

At least vote down-ticket if you care about politics at all.
