    JUSTICE

    Romans 12.19
    19. "Never take your own revenge beloved, but leave room for the wrath of GOD, it is written, 'Vengeance is Mine, I will repay.' (Deuteronomy 32.35) (Romans 12.17.19) (Leviticus 19.18) (Proverbs 20.22, 24.29) (Psalms 94.1), says the Lord."

This particular verse extremely important and reveal true meaning of the true Justice. It means give Justice to the Lord to do and do not do it yourself. As imperfect creatures we are do imperfect Justice because our judgment impaired by our own imperfections. The Lord GOD is perfect in all His ways and judgments, so His Justice and Judgments are all perfect and no injustice can be done in the Justice of GOD.

Words "leave room" very important in this verse, because if you do not live room for the Justice of GOD, GOD perhaps would not Judge your case, because you already committed your own justice, and the guilty opponent will not receive his/her deserved, justified by GOD punishment, and such instances very well outlined in the Bible.

I know, it is very difficult to give do justice to GOD, and this according to my own experience, but we must hold and restrain ourselves from our own judgmental justice and must leave room for the Justice of the Lord, otherwise we will sin.

We are not always will see the Justice of the Lord done to our enemies, even in our life time, but it is does not matter, because if we believe in GOD we know for sure that His Holy and Righteous Justice will succeed on Earth and in Heaven and no guilty party will be left unpunished, if only we leave Him room for His Wrath and His Holy and Just and Righteous Justice to act.

Jesus Christ also issued warning to that effect but from the different point of view, indicating the imperfections in our judgment and justice, and instead of condemn and judge our foe, we shall forgive or at best just leave him or her alone, taking insult or wrong doing against us with us, in order to show it to the Lord Who certainly will see it, and the Lord will act according on His Own will and accord, according to His Holy Righteous Justice. In this case if we forgive our foes who sin against us, GOD will forgive our sins against Him.

    Luke 6.37
    37. "And do not judge and you will not be judged, and do not condemn and you will not be condemned, pardon and you will be pardoned."

Even Jesus Christ, while He condemned and rebuke sinners many times, He Himself did not serve the Justice on them, but gave to do Justice to His Father. While Jesus had the Power and Authority as GOD to Judge and to Punish, He, on the other hand, did not do it, because He came not to Judge but to Save.

But at the second His coming He will come not as a humble Man to save humanity, but will come as King and as Judge, to punish unbelievers and to save His flock of faithful for Himself.

On the cross Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, they do not know what they are doing." (Luke 23.34) (Matthew 5.44). Justice is very sensitive thing, because GOD knows who sin unintentionally and who intentionally, knowingly and unknowingly.

But we do not know this, and so, our own judgment can be very different from the judgment of GOD and instead of to do justice, we may commit injustice.

    HEAP OF BURNING COALS

    Romans 12.20
    20. *But if your enemy is hungry feed him, and if he is thirsty give him a drink, in so doing you will *heap burning coals upon his head."

~ 20. " *heap burning coals upon his head." Most likely means that the Conscience of you enemy will burning in him or her for all the bad things he or she done to you. Your good deed to your enemy may trigger in evil person a certain appropriate good response by his or her Conscience and a person may change its own mind and attitude toward you and even turn to GOD seeing that you are a Christian, for which you will be certainly credited.

Of course, not everyone has Conscience, and some people would never appreciate all the good things you have done for them, or even more, would take advantage of you and will despise you for all the good things you had done to them.

But the point here is not to make yourself a fool by doing good to those who hate you, but do good for them just like GOD does to all humanity, this should be a good example for all of us (Matthew 5.45) (Luke 6.35) (Acts 14.17) (Proverbs of Solomon 29.13), and we shall leave the judgment and punishment of the evil and unappreciated people to GOD, as it said in verse 19.

    ~ 20. Love your enemies. Do good to them: (2Kings 6.18-23) (2Chronicles 28.9-15) (Proverbs 25.21-22) (Matthew 5.43-45) (Luke 6.27-28.35-36) (Romans 12.20-21)

Verse 21 summarizes all of what indicated above:

    21. "Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good." Just like evil can overcome goodness in people, and so goodness also can overcome evil in people with its goodness. It is a constant battle between goodness of GOD and the evil of Devil in both, in physical world and in Spiritual world, which eventually will end with the victory of the goodness of GOD and His angels in Heaven and on Earth. So, to fight evil with goodness it is the only way and a chance to succeed in the fight against evil of this world.
