Gitmo becomes prison for illegal immigrants.

POTUS has declared gitmo will house 30,000 illegal immigrants whose home countries refuse to take them back….. until DT’s tariffs convince them otherwise.

I have to say I am truly surprised at all of the “put of the box” thinking and policies coming from this administration.

I think it’s a great idea. Add to that the email telling senior FBI officials to resign or be fired and I’d say DT is just getting started.

What say you?

Return to COMMON SENSE seems to be the direction in 2025. Love it.

If someone crosses our border illegally, they are a CRIMINAL. They never were "undocumented immigrants". They are illegal criminals and should face penalties for the crime.

Deja Vu 1980. U.S. Marshalls were tasked with rounding up and separating the criminal element (Castro emptied his prisons and sent them all here) from those that were 'political prisoners'. USP Atlanta became the holding spot for the worst of them.

30,000 inmates is a whoooole lot of bodies to manage.

Yes it is. It is a whole lot of bodies no matter where they are; in our towns and cities or at gitmo.

But, knowing you will spend your time at gitmo instead of in a fancy hotel with free meals, cell phones, parties etc might discourage folks from crossing illegally, and might encourage folks to leave voluntarily.
