Evening On Catalina Island

Found that island overrated and "touristy" (yes, I was a tourist there many times in past years). Much of the island is dry prairie, akin to Wyoming where we lived. Nice views of ocean, but if you've visited Death Valley . . .

Found 3-4 day big cruise ships anchor there and flood Avalon with thousands. Glad you had a quiet experience, far from the madding crowd

We did have one day without cruise ships and it felt much like a small, peaceful community. I didn’t feel like it was too dry but maybe that’s because it was very foggy from morning until evening.
