I was afraid during the last 4 years. Now, not so much.

I'm concerned for the midterms now. I know how fickle people can be, I'm in doubt if most are willing to bear the short-term pain in order to win the long-term gain, too many still only listen to what Dem mainstream media feeds them.

Evidently, this Republican loss in WI could cost the Republicans 2 House seats BEFORE the midterms.

There will be plenty of special elections I think, there has already been 9 so far of which the Republicans have won 6.
So I wouldn’t be as worried.

Not any more…and not after this Trump Tariff stunt. Estimated loss to Americans is approximately 6 Trillion dollars (short term pain indeed) FORGET THAT!

A huge amount of industries are coming back already, so it is reversing 50 years of rustbelting that killed the real middle class in the US.

I get that this kind of progress might be too late for you to benefit most from, but for young people, it offers a far better future.

America has been used and abused, I say this as an Australian, to me it’s obvious. America has underwritten world security for 80 years, and is not appreciated for the effort.
Seems America is hated when it steps in, or sits out, but everyone seems to always have its hand out for whatever America provides.

I think an era of American self interest will make the world a better place.

You are thinking so short term. “Dow is down 1600 points.”???

Auto industries are already building plants, Taiwan semiconductor plants are being built domestically, ship yards are being built, and many heavy and light industries are coming back.

To avoid the tariffs, industries are returning to manufacture domestically.

The Average American is very poor and has little to nothing in savings, bringing back industries can turn this around, and support a strong middle class.
Manufacturing is how the US will dig itself out.

The average Australian is very rich by comparison, but we have enormous resources and little manufacturing. Without the resource sector, we generally have nothing.
