Prayer Request

Remember me in prayer, I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in May of '24. The biopsy which takes 12 samples from all around the prostate came back with 6 samples testing positive for cancer. It's beyond the beginning stages.

The Doctors decided not to go with treatment at this time, they are taking a psa blood sample every 6 months to determine their next move. The psa test will tell them if the cancer is spreading. My last psa, 5 months ago, remained the same at 15, which 3 is normal for my age. So my prostate is considerably enlarged.

I'm asking for prayer because I go back next month for another psa test, and I'm somewhat worried. There have been some significant changes in my urination flow even though I'm taking Flo-Max, which reduces the swelling and takes pressure off the urination tube and allows a better flow.

So remember me, that the Lord will have His way and be glorified in all that takes place.

Thank You

You have my prayers Charlie.

Dad had advanced prostate cancer. His treatment for several years was quarterly injections that stopped the production of testosterone. He passed in June 2023 at age 98 of heart failure.

Yes, the doctors said that you don't necessarily die from prostate cancer, you die with it.

The doctors also said that there is an aggressive prostate cancer and a non-aggressive.

All indications in my case is non-aggressive.

The reason they don't want to begin treatments, the side effects could be more harmful in my case than the non-aggressive cancer.

Dad mellowed out big time when he stopped making testosterone. Lol, I remember thinking, "Wow, he's the cool Dad I always wanted now".

The treatments are great for some but not all.

The doctors put me in contact with several men my age (69), in the same situation, healthy and able to do about anything physically, that chose to take the treatments.

They deeply regretted it, the side effects caused other problems, taking away their good health.

Dad was in his late 80s when he began the shots, and for some reason now forgotten stopped getting them a couple years before he passed.

It could have gone the other way. Your Dad was probably as many of the older times folks who ate natural foods and was a specimen of health.

If you find that you do have the aggressive type the doctors will help you choose the right treatment for your particular case.

That is what I will probably find out for sure next month, whether my cancer is aggressive or non-aggressive.

Look my wife needs to go in for chemo again so I /we know …believe me. Did they stage it? Not necessary to reveal though. My wife is at stage 4…meaning they can treat it but not cure it. It’s in His hands.

I'm sorry to hear that Brother! The rain falls on the just and the unjust, likewise we Believers also face the hard facts of life.

But praise God we have the Blessed Hope, we know we are in His Hands to very end, with a door opened, welcoming us home!

non-aggressive.

We're all praying for non-aggressive.

I'm 71, a farmer friend of mine same age had his prostate removed through a non-invasive technique (robotic I think) a couple months ago. He spent one night in the hospital; was out about (slow) nine days later.

I do appreciate the prayers, Brother. There's a calm and free feeling for those who are facing life changing news when they know their Brothers and Sisters are in one accord, praying for God to have His way in the matter.

I hope for the best, but bad news could work for His Glory. Who knows what God is working out at any given time.
