"BILLIONAIRE BACKS MAMMOTH COMEBACK—COLOSSAL BET ON DE-EXTINCTION TECH Ben Lamm’s startup Colossal just raised $200M at a $10.2B valuation to bring back the woolly mammoth—yes, seriously.

Alongside Harvard geneticist George Church, Lamm aims to resurrect extinct species like the dodo and Tasmanian tiger using gene editing and artificial wombs.

With no revenue (yet), the real value is in the tech: biodiversity contracts, carbon credits, and even IVF breakthroughs. Critics say it’s risky. Lamm says it’s the future.

If Jurassic Park had investors, this is where they’d be parking their money.

"HOW TO MAKE A BABY WOOLLY MAMMOTH

To bring back a woolly mammoth, scientists begin with frozen mammoth remains found in Siberia.

From these ancient bones and tissue, they sequence the mammoth's genome—its full set of DNA instructions.

Since a woolly mammoth’s DNA is 99% the same as an Asian elephant’s, scientists choose the mammoth genes they want—like those for thick fur or cold resistance—and edit them into an Asian elephant’s embryo using a genetic tool called CRISPR.

This embryo can then be placed into a living elephant, or someday, into an artificial womb.

If successful, it will grow into a baby woolly mammoth—the first in thousands of years.

Not trying to take away from the science here, but I believe there will be many signs and wonders coming in the near future.

Preparing the world for the ultimate signs and wonders from the anti-Christ, to believe a lie.

I read a technical paper on the Dire Wolf project and scientific critics pointed out that it was NOT a Dire Wolf. It was a GREY WOLF that had a few Dire Wolf genes added to give it a slightly more "Dire Wolf" appearance.

They offered an analogy, some people have up to 4% Neanderthal DNA: Does that make them "Neanderthals"?

The obvious answer is "no." In the same way, these "restored extinct species" are really nothing more than the equivalent to "Designer Puppies" that have had a few genes tweaked for appearance traits. For better or worse, the technology simply does not exist to create a complete "DIRE WOLF" or "MAMMOTH" DNA Strand to create a true Dire Wolf or Mammoth.

It is the SCIENCE equivalent of gluing hair on a fat Elephant and calling it a Mammoth.
