Not asking what Bannon says - what is YOUR opinion!
My opinion is it’s about time the working class stops carrying the burden. I think globally, not domestically. Why does my family have to labor in a factory, a coal mine, a farm and join the military, fight & die in wars in order to protect the money that the rich make. Forget them, let them pay their way or else face the consequences like every else sweating and dieing. That’s my opinion and it should be the opinion of everyone who is an American citizen. What’s more, there are no free lunches in this country. If you want to live here then there should be provisions made for you to contribute, I suggest a 7 year enlistment period into the military, before any chance of citizenship, preferably infantry. Earn your keep and have your family proud of your service. My hero had his leg blown off from a German tank…the man had PTSD….hell all my hero’s were Vets who at least have or had now that I’m old some form of mental illness from trauma caused by war. So go and visit them at the VA and sit with them and learn the sacrifices they endured for the health & prosperity of this country.

off hand, I dont know - will get with Dr Bob
Take a listen to Bannons synopses of world events…first he does his research which you don’t normally get from normal news media; Next he was a Naval Officer and thinks with the mindset of a military stratigest, I believe practical. Then if you want to we should discuss it.Your call.

The problem is how much the government spends, not how much it takes in with taxes.

Without going line by line, as DT is doing, the budget crises will never be solved.

We spend hundreds of thousands of dollars studying shrimp running on an underwater treadmill. Funny to watch, I suppose. Just one waste of money.

Again, the Treasury Department cannot account for about 4.8 TRILLION dollars. No codes, no records showing where the money went.

The government knows where it went. Most likely, imo, it’s payoffs to political contributors from both parties over the years.

I’m trusting DT to clean it up. I expect the elites to fight vigorously to prevent the fraud from ever being exposed

Peace to you

Good point Candy!
Yes, the Feds spend way too much money - and much of it is un-connotational - per the 10th amendment!

I like to use this example - why should we send $$ to DC to pay someone to send it back to the States/commonwealths!
Since education is not mentioned in the COTUS - - it is the responsibility of the state/commonwealth

Are you referring specifically to SS? Because the Social Security trust funds invest entirely in U.S. Treasury securities, including treasury bills, notes, and bonds. These securities are backed by the full faith and credit of the U.S. government, and are considered a safe investment.

So do you personally receive Social Security…you don’t need to answer but if you do perhaps you should research where your money is going. The Social Security Agency doesn’t just take money and return money, they reinvest in the country.

So you don't have an opinion?

The problem with taxing the rich (the rich already pays most of the taxes, but significantly increasing the tax) is it decreases the GDP which directly affects US securities and bonds.

If taxation becomes prohibitive in terms of profit *maintaining an acceptable margin) then it is best to lower employment and production - make less at a better margin.

BTW, our States Commonwealth has been doing such a splendid job in educating our children in the public schools right. So much so that I’ve encouraged my son to start researching charter schools for my grandkids. New Jersey they say is 9th highest in the nation …but that’s not good enough. If they are to compete with and in the global economy they need better educations which from my research is now substandard. And this is one curriculum that all Americans must be fighting for. Same old same old doesn’t cut it anymore.
So you don't have an opinion?
oh not me… but I’ve lived it. ;)

I do like Steve Bannons take (generally) because of his working class background and also he is a military guy.

First, I don’t see him as a business man. He is a peddler. And I have no interest in politics…they are all crooks. My people did not work in coal mines, farms and in factories to have politicians take our hard money away from us. Now you are talking revolution and most hard working Americans who have sweated and scrimped and saved agree with me.
The Democrats are the problem. They keep raiding the “lock box” to fund other social programs.

It's the Democrats who want to protect the social spending.
I want to protect Social Security…and I’m no democrat. I paid into it. But again, it’s both Democrats and Republicans who vote on those things.Anddont get me wrong, all social services programs funded by the tax payers should be subject to scrutiny, but when we now have one guy functioning as an air traffic controller at Newark International Airport when 12-14 is the norm….well, would you fly in & out of that friggin place. Something is terribly wrong.

I don’t classify Social Security as Social spending.
The government is extremely inefficient. How many people are truly needed to do a job?
The company I work for changed CEOs last year. In one years time, he has retired out or fired almost 60 percent of our employees. We now produce more product than we did with our bloated workforce. I actually have less work I have to do now than I had to do then. So much of the old company structure wasted vast amounts of time and manpower on reports, schedules, audits, duplicate reporting, etc.
The new CEO does not care about all that. If your division has the production numbers and its cost falls in the ratio, he is good. I like the lean and mean company model. Everyone new CEO got rid of, I was glad to see go.
I have only been with company about a year and a half. The job is outside of my degree and only slightly similar to what I retired from. Within 6 months of being with the company, I was up to top 5 percent in production. Last few months have been top producer .
Sometimes the old way is not the best way. The govt way is the old way.

I worked for govt for a long time. Waste was rampant. Workforce was not motivated to produce results. There was no financial motivation to excel. It actually was to our benefit to be as lazy as possible.

The only time I worked for the government was in the military and that was enough. I want nothing to do with them …I prefer a disciples work force who can do multiple jobs effectively & efficiently. I’m not in favor of these towns by me that have work forces that consistently do bad work then want to be paid expensive wages, lazy crap sluggards.

I’ve told the town council and the mayor to fire them all and hire contractors who will hustle, do much better work and if not then fire them and hire another sub contractor.

Now that’s not the FED, it’s local towns but these local governments and state governments make up most of the taxpayers money by their inefficiencies.
