The history of the Evangelical churches of the valleys of Piemont (found this a few years ago, hard to locate now)

Enjoyed this year rereading daily devotional "This Day in Baptist History". Short clips/quotes. NOT heavy research, but such joy to be reminded of what Baptists (mostly in America) have experienced laying the foundation for our "easier" walk today.

My go to Baptist histories:

The Baptist Heritage, by H. Leon McBeth. Published in 1987, it's pretty up to date for a Baptist history. It's being used as a seminary textbook. 822 pages of gold!

Short History of the Baptists, by H. C. Vedder. This 1907 book is a real classic.

Bought that at Central Seminary in 1964. Dr Robert G. Delnay was a spiritual giant in my early studies in church history.

Dr. Fred Moritz, former general director of Baptist World Mission, has written a history of the board with the title, Now is the Time. It is available at: Now is the Time - Missions - Faithful Life Publishers - Christian Book Publishing Company, North Fort Myers

This book is not just a history of the mission board, it chronicles the apostasy occurring in the Northern Baptist Convention (now called the American Baptist Churches) which necessitated a new mission board.
