The best bet is to learn the Charleston and variations, once you know that, it’s much easier to pick up the other shuffles.

The wife and I took 3 courses of Ballroom Dancing some 30-35 years ago at Eastern Kentucky University where both our daughters attended, learned the Swing, the Cha Cha, the Waltz, and the Two Step. It was fun, to say the least.

It is fun. These shuffles look good small stepped as well, so you don’t need to get hot and out of breath. In fact they can look far cooler small stepped.
People think it’s complicated and fancy but it’s just an illusion really, I learned swing dance in high school and traditional.
It’s a good ice breaker and can cheer people up, some shuffles are very comedic.
