I get a large rectangle Ad popping up and taking over too much of the screen to hardly be able to post.

Large Ads on Screen.

Same here. I've been clicking on the white circle left top and don't see the ad again until I switch to another screen.
Have you down loaded that app that removes the ads?
I've never looked into it but I hear its free or was, don't know.

No. I have never gotten ads here. Not sure what is going on with y'all.
I don't get them either. I don't know what to suggest. Try logging out and then logging back in.

I've never checked into it, but you're probably right on that.
The ads aren't causing me any real problems so I'll just leave it as is.

You could do a google search for options to deal with adds for the browser you are using.
I asked how to block adds in win browser and got this reply
"To block ads in the Microsoft Edge browser, go to Settings > Privacy, search, and services > Site permissions > Pop-ups and redirects, and turn on the Blocked toggle. You can also use ad-blocking extensions like Adblock Plus for a more comprehensive solution"
