What are your thoughts about Robert A, son of the renown Robert H (1926-2015)

Robert A - his son, Bobby is pastor of Shepard's Grove Church in Calif (the remake of Crystal Cathedral). The church is affiliated with the PCUSA. His grandfather was in the Reformed Church in America

When receiving criticism for holding worship services in a bar and making church flyers on matchbooks, young Schuller commented he was "trying to reach people that didn't typically go to a normal church

I think Jesus gave a good answer for that,

Mat 9:12 ... “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick."

I do not think that to reach unchurched people, you have to go where they are potentially involved in sinning.

I personally would not hold a worship service in an unholy place that is basically conducive to or devoted to sin. I might do it outside or nearby the place, and invite people in the place to attend.

Places in which I would not hold a worship service = liquor store, bar, x rated adult entertainment shop, gambling venue, crack house, brothel, cannabis dispensary.

I'm am of the understanding that when they were having church service - the business was closed.
If so - would that make a difference?

As far as Robert A - he was dismissed because he was preaching the gospel!

The business being closed would not make a difference to me. I would seek a different place to hold a worship service.

I got saved as a teenager at a Mennonite church camp. Starting in strict separation, I eventually got involved in a super libertine cult. Many years later, I married a woman I met at a Southern Baptist church. Recently, I have investigated Eastern Orthodox teachings of the desert monks, while remaining a Baptist. Thus, I have returned to strict separation, and hence the screen name, Ascetic X.
