Our TV in the 70’s and 80’s had a remote control as well.
Dad, “Son, get up there and change the channel!”

You had the same brand as my family did but ours was from the 50's & 60's
I heard stories of kids running up the hill with a walkie talkie so they knew how much to move the antenna so they could get better reception.

We had the old style walkie talkies. Dad told one son who waked to the window and told the second son who then walked to the end of the house and hollered up to the other son how much to turn the antenna.
Good thing we had three boys in our family.

We put tin foil on the antenna for better reception.
We upgraded. We would go out and twist the antenna (on a poke attached to the house), for better reception.
The TV stations were North, East, and Southeast. Each about 20 to 40 miles.
