Christians in military service

Are Christians in our military who go into combat with the intention of killing the enemy guilty of murder if they do so?

Psalty: "I think this is the insightful question. Can you justify a “just war”? I have looked at the arguments and found them lacking but am unconvinced I have exhausted the issue at all. This would be a good alternate thread to start in the debate forum."

SO...Here it is!

Were the soldiers of Israel commanded by God to fight guilty of murder?

War Veterans/Combat Veterans are plagued horrible dreams of the experiences they encountered but none of us nuts that went forward are murderers.

That was a different dispensation, under the old laws, like an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth. We are now in the age of grace. Unlike Israel, Christians do not form armies to kill and destroy unbelievers.

If it was considered not murdering back then, God views it same way for today
