Interesting developments regarding women and The Gospel Coalition

Currently, membership on TGC's Council is said to be reserved for "pastors and qualified elders":

"The Gospel Coalition’s Council is a collection of pastors and qualified elders who provide direction and leadership to TGC."

As you can see the Council of TGC USA is all male, including its Board and Emeritus members.

The Council of TGC Canada is also all male

The Council of TGC Brazil is likewise all male.

As is the Council of TGC Scandinavia.

Ditto the Council of TGC Español.

And the Council of TGC Africa too.

There are numerous officially sanctioned iterations of The Gospel Coalition for particular countries, regions, or languages.

And coming soon is TGC UK!

"TGC-UK’s initial 39-member council contains a number of high-profile names, including....35 men and four women."


And... in just the past few months TGC Australia has added a Board of Directors including three women, on its Council page.


Hmm...will this happen too with The Gospel Coalition USA?
Should be interesting, with so many of its Council members being Southern Baptist and/or affiliated with that Manhood/Womanhood outfit.

The Bible clearly states that a woman should not teach men, which would exclude them from being pastors.

Being on an advisory board of directors seems to be okay.

Have you ever been pastored by a woman or seen a female pastor preach?

What they say may sound good, but the role seems unnatural to me.
