Do some leftist socialist Democrats want to abolish borders and prisons?

There are quotes all over the place about trump wanting to run for a 3rd term. What news have you been watching anyway? Look it up. I'm not going to do your research for you.
Joe
Thanks for the laugh. Loved it. :Biggrin So you make a claim, I challenge it, and in defending your claim you insist that it is my responsibility to prove your claim. What a great debater...not!

Big laugh at this! As if Jesus was a 21st century politician or political activist. :p

Glad you're here on the BB. Your posts are the most I've laughed on the BB in a long time. :Cool
He has been appointed by the UN as the permanent chairman to the Board of Peace he created. The UN has given him sweeping powers and the authority to appoint his successor. Here are the 27 member countries:
  • Albania
  • Argentina
  • Armenia
  • Azerbaijan
  • Bahrain
  • Belarus
  • Bulgaria
  • Cambodia
  • Egypt
  • El Salvador
  • Hungary
  • Indonesia
  • Israel
  • Jordan
  • Kazakhstan
  • Kosovo
  • Kuwait
  • Mongolia
  • Morocco
  • Pakistan
  • Paraguay
  • Qatar
  • Saudi Arabia
  • Turkey (Türkiye)
  • United Arab Emirates
  • United States
  • Uzbekistan
  • Vietnam
Each paid $1 billion to join. Another $17 billion came from these countries to pay for the rebuilding of Gaza. All this money sits in a private JP Morgan account. There is no oversight of this board and there has been no transparency.

The UN is facing a severe liquidity crisis and imminent financial collapse liquidity crisis and an "imminent financial collapse," driven by a massive accumulation of unpaid mandatory dues from its member states. Secretary-General António Guterres has described the situation as a "race to bankruptcy," forcing the global body to implement aggressive cash conservation measures, hiring freezes, and heavy budget slashes across all its operations.

So, what happens if the UN fails? The Board of Peace will still exist and Trump will remain its chairman even after leaving the WH. Imagine then what power he could have globally. Does it remind you of any Bible prophecy?

What's so funny about that? For his time, he was. The 21st Century has nothing to do with it. BTW, you are stooping pretty low to publicly insult a fellow Baptist. I am glad I am here on the BB too!

I seriously don't care. Trump is already a billionaire. What's a few more billion? As the old politician said, "A billion here and a billion there, and pretty soon you're talking real money."

I've always been in favor of doing away with the UN. Sounds like a good start.

The man is 80 years old. Are you seriously suggesting he might be the Antichrist??? That's the only prophecy that might have the slightest possibility of having anything to do with Trump. (I teach the subject. ;))

If you all love your orange Mussolini that's fine. That is your right, but you'll be sorry. I have to quote Ernest Hemingway here, "God rest ye merry gentlemen."

I could not possibly disagree more. Mirriam-Webster definition of politician: "a person who is active in government or party politics,, usually by holding or running for an elected public office. They help make laws, shape public policy, and represent the views of citizens." There is absolutely no way on earth Jesus fits this definition. I majored in Bible, then got an MA in Bible, and can confidently say that there is not a conservative theologian on earth, living or dead, who considers Jesus to have been a politician.

BTW, you are stooping pretty low to publicly insult a fellow Baptist. I am glad I am here on the B too!
Joe
I apologize. But if you post funny stuff I'll still laugh.

P. S I'm actually not insulting you personally, just your inane posts.

Nothing is funny in what I have posted. You just don't happen to like it so you insult me. I don't really care. I stand by what I have posted. Doesn't seem like you learned much in getting your MA in Bible. I have a college degree too. So what? You think awfully highly of yourself don't you? Once again, I don't care. BTW, I never said that Jesus was a politician. I only said that Jesus was a liberal socialist. If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, swims like a duck, it's a duck. I feel sorry for all those folks in Japan you are preaching to. "God rest ye merry gentlemen."

I'm insulting your posts, and you take it personally. Thin skin, anyone?

Okay, claim I insult you, so then you insult me. Riiiiight.

So you don't believe liberal and socialist views are political??? Weird.

And I've not been in Japan for 12 years. I teach here in a Bible college and seminary. Hate that if you want. ;)

Still laughing at this thread. Sorry, folks, I just can't help it. Confused
I may get banned from this forum by what I am going to say. If so, then let it be. I really don't care. I have better things to do. I need to get back to writing my third novel of this year. It will be published sometime around the first of 2027. The first two are currently on Amazon. Just type in my name, Joe Robert Lock and they will come up.

Anyway, John in Japan, you are what Kurt Vonnegut in his novel Cat's Cradle, calls a pissant. If you want a definition, look it up with your excellent google skills.

BTW folks, I am performing, (singing and playing) with my banjo tonight from 7:00 to 9:00 at the University Boba House on Bearss Ave. in Tampa. If you are in the area, come and see me.
Best,
Joe

So Novelist makes a statement, then tells me I have to prove his proposition when I disagree. Then he says I'm bragging, after which he brags about his novels and his banjo playing. And he accuses me of insulting him when I've only...well, okay, I mocked his posts. Then he calls me Vonnegut's insult, a "pissant." So I'm not allowed to mock his posts, but he can call me vulgar names!

You can't make this stuff up, and I'm laughing again. :Roflmao

I never said you were bragging, but then again you must be if you refer to yourself as bragging. I am not bragging, just relating some info. I did not call you a vulgar name. It's just that you fit Vonnegut's definition so well. I see from the evidence that you did not look it up. BTW, I'm glad you are laughing. Come and see me tonight at the Boba House in Tampa. Along with my singing and playing I tell some pretty good jokes. You would like them.

Your post 32: "You think awfully highly of yourself don't you?" Translation: you're bragging.

"Pissant" refers to a certain human bodily function, vulgar in context. AI overview on Google: "A pissant is a vulgar slang word used as an insult for someone who is small, unimportant, or annoying."

Yeah right. See how it fits? The definition of pissant I am referring to is not the one you mention, it is the one that Vonnegut coins in his novel Cat's Cradle.
Sorry, no brag, just fact.
Galatians 6:3 has you pegged to a T. "If a man thinks himself to be something when he is nothing, he deceives himself."

Sorry, Vonnegut doesn't trump the usual English meaning. He was brilliant, but not enough to change the English language.

Okay, I'm done laughing. You are serious about insulting me after complaining that I insulted you. That's hypocrisy.

You, a random Internet denizen, say that I am nothing. Fortunately, Jesus loved me enough to die for me, a poor sinning "nothing."
