Hi there. As far as I can see, new members are exprected to introduce themselves; so let's go. I am German, was born in Germany and have grown up and been living there since then. Raised up Lutheran, I found saving faith in Jesus at the age of almost 14. In autumn of 1986, I joined an independent Baptist church where I was baptized in May 1987. I fully agree with the Chicago declaration on the inerrancy of the Bible, became a five point Calvinist in the early 1990s and an amillennialist some 15 or 20 years ago. So I guess my best label is "Reformed Baptist." In 1995, I graduated the Freie Theologische Akademie in Giessen, Germany. Since then, I have been serving on a voluntary basis in several small free churches in northern Germany, but had to take a longer break due to health issues. For a living, I am translating books into German, mostly from English. Ah, and since my name is almost unpronounceable to native English speakers, you may call me Jo.
