I read somewhere online that Walter Martin was a Pentecostal. I recently did some research just to find out he was a Baptist. i believe he was first an american baptist then southern baptist.

Do you guys know the truth about his denomination? Also, I heard he had some strange doctrines. I know he held to the post trib rapture and rejected the eternal sonship of Christ.

Any information on his personal life or theology is greatly appreciated.

he has a short biography on this encyclopedia Walter Martin

He took a lot of flak for not condemning pentecostals and refusing to classify the RCC as a cult, and he was always the target of attacks by the mormons...
He might not have had perfect theology everywhere (no one does), however he was no heretic.
