1 Corinthians 13:12, For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

2 Corinthians 5:8, We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

I would say.

For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

who in the days of his flesh both prayers and supplications unto Him who was able to save him from death -- with strong crying and tears -- having offered up, and having been heard in respect to that which he feared, through being a Son, did learn by the things which he suffered -- the obedience, and having been made perfect, he did become to all those obeying him a cause of salvation age-during, Heb 5:7-9
Heb 2:10 For it was becoming to Him, because of whom are the all things, and through whom are the all things, many sons to glory bringing, the author of their salvation through sufferings to make perfect,

Also relative to us

Heb 11:35,39,40 YLT Women received by a rising again their dead, and others were tortured, not accepting the redemption, that a better rising again they might receive, and these all, having been testified to through the faith, did not receive the promise, God for us something better having provided, that apart from us they might not be made perfect.

1 John 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. ------ Face to Face?

@percho,
The Apostle Paul is now present with the Lord.
And Christ's second appearing is yet future.
Let me ask you a question.

What is the chronological context of the statement, "Well done, good and faithful servant"?

I have heard people say, so and so died and they are now sitting at the feet of Jesus hearing, "Well done, good and faithful servant".

Is that a biblical statement according to the Word of God?

And 1Jo 3:2 – Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

Has to do with Christ's second appearing.
Hebrews 8:28.

The Apostle Paul is already present with the Lord.
2 Corinthians 5:8.

But when is that? When will we be like him? When we die or when he shall appear?

Is Jesus not the bodily resurrected Lord?
Is Paul resurrect in the image of Jesus with a face?

For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body,

I take that verse you quoted as meaning that our resurrected bodies will be glorified bodies, as the resurrected body of Jesus was, not that our resurrected bodies will be identical to the body of Jesus, with the same face, hair, eye colour, and so on.

I did not mean same body but in likeness of substance as in 1 Cor 15:46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. ---- a spiritual body

Not until Christ's second appearing. But is face to face now.
Remember the rich man saw Abraham.
IMHO the lifting up eyes and seeing Abraham in Luke 16 is the same as Tabitha opening her eyes and seeing in Acts 9.

A resurrection is taking place.

Send Lazarus - And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.
