    Premillennialists,

    Please explain Matthew 13:37-50...

NO multiple resurrections, NO multiple judgements, NO two last days!

    Dear Christopher:

Premils/pretribs are poor in MATH because they do not know how to DIVIDE the Word of God correctly.

Would you mind being more specific with your question? That passage contains several parables.

Also, it is the pre-trib/pre-mills that make sense out of the normal math truths. How long is a 1,000 years? 1,000 years. We believe it; you don't. How long is 7 years? 7 years. We believe it; you don't. How long is half of 7 years? 3 1/2 years. We believe it; you don't. Perhaps the biggest help some amills could get is a kindergarten math education.

Having skimmed through this passage I see no reference to either the resurrection or the last day. These are kingdom parables. There are certainly some difficult issues for both dispensationalists and covenantalists. In fact, I think the issues are just as significant for each side.

I'm with Larry having just read over that passage I see references to the comming judgement, the wheats and tares, the furnaces af fire, wailing and gnashing and so forth. I do not see a time line like in Revelation. Certainly one does not hang their entire theology on this passage without considering the rest of the Bibles instruction about the last days, resurrection, and such.

Jesus never used parables to explain something that wasn't real. He also said the parable was an illustration of the END OF THE WORLD.

You're right. 'No multiple judgments.' That's why God named them 'The Judgment Seat of Christ' and the 'Great White Throne Judgment' because they are the same. We're too enlightened, of the Spirit, to buy this.

The Rapture is not a judgement its the bride of Christ going into the Marriage Feast of the Lamb, which coincides with the Tribulation.

After which comes the establishment of the Millenial Kingdom where at the beginning is the resurection and judging. THen the Millenium ends, and voila second resurrection and judgement

Rev 20:5-6 KJV or NKJV - although Im not a KJV'st

However I will admit I havent made a huge research effort in endtime theology for 2 reasons - One its not THAT important - and two its NOT THAT IMPORTANT!!!!

I'll pray for someone to slap the person upside the head who says it is.

The Judgment Seat of Christ is a judgment of saints as to their rewards given in Heaven and their placing among other Christians there.

The Great White Throne Judgment is a judgment leading to their being put in Hell forever.

These are two distinct judgments otherwise God would have used only one term; He chose to use two.

I agree with all you said EXCEPT that it isn't important to make an effort to come to some form of agreement with ALL of Revelations. Remember, this book is from JESUS to ALL. Why? So we cannot say that we didn't know how we would end up if we do not believe in Him, such as Athiests. If an Athiest reads Revelations and continues to disagree that Jesus/God is a joke, then they deserve to find themselves in the 7 years of Tribulations and this is also true to all who reject Jesus/God. Too many think that God is a God of love only. Rev. will show them otherwise. Jesus/God will judge the guilty in a very harsh way.........HELL!!

So, go ahead and slap me...

    God Bless..................Alex

I'm feeling dense. Are you saying that the Judgement Seat of Christ and the Great White Throne of Judgement are the same thing and that both judgements take place at the same time?

    Alex,

I agree with you that the rapture is not the judgment of Christians. The rapture is the taking of His people to Heaven. Before the Marriage of the Lamb--He will evaluate saints at the Judgment Seat of Christ and before the 'Marriage of the Lamb,' where we will be actually married to our Christ of God. (I have no future explicits as to what this 'Marriage' will be like). I Corinthins 3:12-15 points to this Judgment Seat of Christ where some will be saved narrowly. I learned this from a Calvinistic professor of theology. Finally the light went on in my head and I saw this truth. The Catholic Church points to this text as proof of purgatory. Born again people believe I Cor. 3:12-15 is our evaluation of our life while living on this earth. An evaluation of our 'works,' because of our valid faith in Jesus.

    Brian,

    The Judgment Seat of Christ is for Christians, not as to whether they will be saved, but an evaluation of our lives as to what we have done for Him. [II Cor. 5:10] The Apostle Paul says, 'We must all . . . ' {He is speaking of the church}

The Great White Throne Judgment is for sinners only. [Rev. 20:11]

It would be a huges S T R E T C H .....anyone to believe that God would have one final judgment and yet deem to name them differently.
