Theo said, "Explain your view of God in three Persons. Do you believe these Persons to be separate and distinct Persons, or do you believe in essentially one Person who reveals Himself sometimes as the Son and at other times as the Father or the Holy Ghost in the same way that one man can be a son and a father and a husband?"

Not sure exactly where you draw the line in the sand here, but if you believe that the "triune nature of God" is in a simple single being within the realm of our comprehension, then I submit the following verses:

He went on a little farther and fell face down on the ground, praying, "My Father! If it is possible, let this cup of suffering be taken away from me. Yet I want your will, not mine." (Mat 26:39 NLT)

If we have a God praying to Himself and saying "I want your will, not mine," then we have a disoriented god!

After his baptism, as Jesus came up out of the water, the heavens were opened and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and settling on him. And a voice from heaven said, "This is my beloved Son, and I am fully pleased with him." (Mat 3:16-17 NLT)

Here we see the physical Jesus, the Holy Spirit in a physical dove (John saw it!), and God the Father's voice coming from heaven! The doctrine of the trinity explains this with far less difficulty than the singleness nature of God doctrine.

Wells, that is my whole point. The Father is not the Son, the Son is not the Father, and neither are the Father nor the Son the Holy Ghost. Yet the Three are One God.

I want J to come out and say exactly what he means when he says "Trinity."

I don't want to put words in Joseph's mouth, but I thought this was understood from readong his posts.

Did I miss something important, here?

I saw the name of your post and I was looking for some encouragement but there you were again tearing others down.

Just an observation. .. I'm new here, but I didn't find anything offensive or that I would observe to be as an attack in here until I read the above quote.

I suggest you read how nicely he wrote down the question and how much anger was in your reply again.

Not judging, just trying to make you aware that sometimes we tend to over-react or misinterpret what is written.
