First a big THANK YOU to those who voted and especially to Larry who has the freedom here to say what he thinks on this board. After this vote I feel I and other Christians may just have the same freedom.

More importantly, I think by the silence of all but one of those who oppose what I believe yet, still not vote that I leave; is an indication to BB leadership that you may have no need for further banning of non-Baptists Christians or those Baptists that have serious problems with some of our own interpretations and doctrines. Am I and others going to make some people mad? Yes, and they knew it when they voted or or by their silent vote.

The final decision on anyone leaving shall rest with the leaders of the board, but I hope they see that some freedom of thought within the Christian arena is acceptable by almost everyone here, despite what some complaints may imply.

Sometimes I think its better to stay on neutral ground and be a fence stradler... Some people are like that!... Others are like my wife she wears her heart on her sleeve... While other if the game is a foot is excited for the chase... There are all kinds of people here and even Baptist of different doctrines but still Baptist! One time we may say something that another brother or sister will agree with a hearty Amen! Other times the same brother that agreed on the one point you made, will disagree on another. Many times on this board I have come to see a debate turn into a boxing match. Other times I heard brethren come close to calling the other brother what Baalam rode. All this in the name of Christ?... Is that what this board is for?... I say what I say and if it gets to heated I back down. I have started to post things in the past and I would say well I'll tell that brother a thing or two and after I have vented my feeling and cooled down, have many times deleted the post. Gods children to me have to be very careful when we speak of the things of God... Not only what we speak is very important but the attitude that we have is as important as what we speak.

What I can't understand is this believe it or else attitude held by some of the brethren here, and I'm ashamed to say it but a lot are preachers. I'm not a preacher but have been a Primitive Baptist for 35 years and saw this kind of attitude split 22 churches down the middle. It stayed that way for almost 30 years... Was it God honoring?... Was God pleased with that?

We Primitive Baptist also have web sites and to Post-It I say this... In our web site all religions are welcome and even Atheist and non-believers but we will not discuss with them the existence of God... We believe in God and his Son Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and they don't... I can't see any benefit of a discussion until God changes the heart. If you want to go...go. If you want to stay... stay.

2 Peter 3:1 This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance:

2 That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:

We may not have been very clear in our announcements, so here it is: NO BAPTIST WILL BE BANNED.

I am doing pretty good. We are going to try and get pregnant in a few weeks, so that is pretty exciting and scary. Please keep praying for us.

    Thanks,

Joshua I would like to know what those distinctives are. I would also like to know if you hold the same views as he does. here is his list as he has posted thus far.
Pro abortion-pro homosexuality-pro evolution-a denial of eternal suffering for the lost(except maybe certain really bad ones)- and denial of the eternal security of the believer.

As to my experience with Baptist being narrow, I feel the best way to spot a counterfiet is not to study all the different fakes but rather to concentrate on the true item.

Also concerning a discussion we had earlier about Preachers who drink, thank God the man I mentioned has resigned and has accepted a Methodist Church, maybe he should have been there all along.

    Correction BPM:

"and denial of the eternal security of the believer."

I'm not sure where you pick that up but you got it wrong.

I do believe in the eternal security of the believer with 100% assurance. No question about it. Once saved, always saved and going to heaven.

    BPM,

The first English Baptists were General Baptists; they did not believe the Calvinist eternal security doctrine.

Oh, BTW, do you suppose Jesus drank any of that wine that He changed the water into?

Post it I picked it up from your post on the BB reniassaince thread on the announcements forum.
Here is basically what you said-- 90% of Sec Web WERE Christians before they started listening to the atheist lies. I felt like you meant they lost their salvation when you said they were Christians before the listened to atheist lies. Was I wrong and if so what is your point to this statement?
While we are at it are you planning to continue posting e-mails from those who have been banned?
If so what good did it do to ban them?

Think that we are all in agreement on the core issue here: NO BAPTIST WILL BE BANNED. Of course if they are vulgar, etc, then they may be banned for other reasons.

Hey, look around. We are all Baptists of varying stripes and colors, but have the same values and heritage. We will not all agree on anything; we may all disagree on some things. So welcome to a forum of various ideas and interpretations!

And with that, I suppose we should just lock up this puppy. Should have done it after one page!
