I believe in election and those who don't are free to have their own opinion.

Speaking of election did the Apostles have free will to follow the Lord or not?... What if Christ told Simon Barjona follow me and I will make you fishers of men... And Simon said I have an occupation and must make a living chose someone else. Were the Apostles including Paul chosen for that work before they were born or did they have the ability to accept or reject it?... What did Peter say after the crucifiction and death of Jesus... I go fishing!... Thoughts?... Brother Glen [IMG]

    The Apostles:
John 15:16 - "You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you."

    The Apostle Paul:
Galatians 1:15-16a - "But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb and called me through His grace, to reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him among the Gentiles..."

[God speaking to Ananias] Acts 9:15 - "Go, for he is a chosen vessel of Mine to bear My name before Gentiles, kings, and the children of Israel."

    Glenn,
No, I was just "Amen"ing your post. I had'nt posted anything of that nature before. It was just me saying to you, "I hear ya Glenn, preach it!".

Psa 110:3 Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth.

Since you are "in the Psalms", Scott, how about Psalm 65:4?

"Blessed is the man whom You choose, and cause to approach You, that he may dwell in Your courts. We shall be satisfied with the goodness of Your house, of Your holy temple."
    - Ps. 65:4

Rev G. thanks for those scripture references my brain decided to go on vacation for a while and took my mind with it.

Jude 1:[4] For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

Looks to me like this scriptures speaks of some of the non-elect!... Brother Glen [IMG]
