How does one know he is going to heaven?

In the book of John chapter 5 verse 24 is right, but in Matthew chapter 7 verse 21-23 is says:

" Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. "

" Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? "

" And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. "

For a better look read this whole chapter Matthew 7, Jesus speaks in parables alot here, but if you ask God to reveal the truth he will.

 

How do I know??

Because John 1: 12 gives me His word that if I would receive Him I can then become a child of God!! And I am simply taking Jesus at His word--that He is going to do what He said He would do!

John 1: 12 says, "But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the Children of God, even to them that believe on His name."

John 17 v 17 and v 24

 

Romans 10:9 (KJV1769):

That if thou shalt confess with thy
mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in
thine heart that God hath raised him from
the dead, thou shall be saved.

I was told this. I was reluctant to
do this for awile cause i had some pet
sins. But then i repented. Then
i did confess that Jesus is my Lord
while believing that God had raised Him
from the dead. Then Jesus saved me
and i became my Savior as well as my Lord.
I became a "tick" on somebody's score
card

That was in April 1952. Now it is November
2002, and i'm still saved. Not by my
efforts, but by the efforts of Jesus. Amen!

Because mankind was always intended to be a part of Him throughout eternity..past, present, and future.

Because God IS Infinite Love...(whether we choose to accept this fact, or not)...He Is..
