Can you believe this!

I can believe it now a days. I heard a long time ago its against the law in Canada to publically preach against another group i.e. gays or what ever.

I think its a matter of time before we see this law here in America, especially if we keep electing democrats and other liberal politicans.

I hope we all email him and let him know we are supporting him, I will.

 

Canadian law does not enter the pulpit. It only affects the press.

So does that mean that one could not preach a sermon against homosexuality based on Leviticus 18:22 (against a false religion) for broadcast over the radio. Likewise, how does this law effect Christian News Papers, Websites, T.V., and Magazines/Journals in Canada?

Just another thought. If Dr. Falwell was in the U.S. where is is absolutely free to make such remarks when the interview was conducted how can he be tried in a Canadian Court for the remarks? He did not personally broadcast the CBS interview in Canada. CBS and its Canadian affiliate did that. So, if Dr. Falwell's remarks do violate Canadian law who is responsible for allowing his interview to be aired in Canada?

Yes you are correct, but if a sermon is televised any part thats anti gay or anything of that sort is removed by the station. Thats what I meant and should have been clearer about it.
