And the top of the morning to you also Sir Roger! [IMG]

Be careful Sue when you go out. Be sure you bundle up real good, layering your clothes, and move about (not standing at the corner)... [IMG]

Morning all, It's 26° but the wind chill is 16° this morning. Monday is supposed to hit 67°!!

Very busy morning for us! Got to feed the guys, clean up some and get Nick over to an allergist to ask if there's anything that can be done about his allergy to mosquitoes.

I'll be working at the store all day but Gary is to have a group of guys in there with him. I don't know if I'll have more time to be online or no time at all. PLUS... Nick woke at 3:00 claiming he couldn't get back to sleep. I put in a movie for him and he was snoring in 15 minutes. However..... I didn't sleep but about 30 mins. the rest of the morning no matter how hard I tried.

    Everybody keep warm!

My work day begins at 7:00 AM - I like it that way - because I get off work at 3:00 PM.

Dan - would rather have a long morning than a long afternoon!

My work day kind of comes and goes as the need arises. Got a lot of office work done today so have it pretty easy this afternoon.

We're freezing here in Philly. It may get "up" to the "high" 20's today.

Don't want to make the fur fly again, but,
Dan and Sue, check out my reply on the "I want a puppy.." thread.

    Keep warm!

    Hello everyone,

How are you all? It seems you are sending your cold weather in this direction and we don't want it either.

I will try and look in later,

    God Bless

Boy Howdy from balmy Casper (+38F and climbing toward 50F this afternoon). Bright morning sun has now (9:45 am) given way to some clouds so don't go singing "Home on the Range" quite yet.

I have my last (hopefully) chiropractic appt in an hour, but the back is feeling tons better. Still tender and baby it, especially getting in and out of the car.

But up most of the night in some of the worse pain of my life with my foot. You want an organ recital? My neuropathy is destroying my feet and send pain signals to the brain when there IS NO pain.

So the joint of my big toe - deep in the bone - felt like it was being broken, like someone snapping a pencil. It woke me, screaming in pain, 20+ times. Wife is tired today, as she was sitting in the rocking chair, dozing, waiting for me to awake again every 10-15 minutes.

We have some pain gel, etc, but the doctors say not even morphine will help. I finally got up and walked around in the dark and tucked HER in bed about 5 am and have not had a spasm since.

May have brought it on myself as I am breaking in a new pair of Birkenstocks and since I don't feel discomfort, can wear them hours at a time (instead of only an hour or two a day for the first few weeks). Will not wear them at all today and see if the biting pain subsides.

No sympathy needed, just an update on the exciting progression of a disease. Ugh.

My dad (was a diabetic) suffered from uncontrolable itching on his feet from time to time. He would scratch them so much he would make them raw. But all the scratching in the world wouldn't take the itch away.

I have very minor bouts of the same thing - so I have an idea what I have to look forward to!

Being a good Calvinist - I cling to "My grace is sufficient for thee!"

Dan - being sweet can sometimes be a pain!

I'm COLD! This old store is all windows across the front and the doors don't have weather stripping on them. I keep heading to the back where the corn stove's burning! LOL Can't post and keep warm too.

The owner's in today with a couple of Factory Guys. They're all trying to impress each other. LOL. Hubby came by and picked up Nick and Vinnie and Kathy, the nice couple who went to church with us this past Sunday came in. What a nice couple. They're much younger than us but Vinnie and Jim are both big kidders.... so they pick on us wives. LOL The guys hit it off right away.

It's so bright here today. Oh! Yesterday, while I was at the dentist, I saw a male and female Cardinal, a Blue Jay and a Titmouse. Makes me think Sue's right about spring! Not very usual to see Cardinals when it's down in the 20's at night. Of course, I'd rather we have a late spring and short summer because of the mosquitoes!

Took Nick to the allergist today about the mosquito bites. He wants to change his allergy medicine in May or June to two different things. I'm not real impressed. He started talking about how it wasn't harmful to take steriods 3-4 times a summer..... Well I KNOW what steroids can do to a body and how they can ruin the bones of children! I just listened and then we left.

Isn't that another way to describe 'nay sayers' and 'doomsday prophets'? No, I don't remember them!

Diane: I am waiting to see a Robin. Cardinals don't fly South, they winter here. Better yet, I will know for sure when the first Tulip pushes through the soil. [IMG]

Hi Granny! You are right. The darkest hour comes just before the dawn!

I have been busy with paperwork today. Sorry I haven't been here to render my usual store of inane remarks. [IMG]

I am heading for the 'corner' in a few minutes. I will be back later.

    TTFN!

    Hi all,

I am on a short study break so I thought I would look in and see what you are all up to. C'mon, Wakey Wakey!! LOL. And what time is it over there?

I will have a quick scoot round the forums and then make myself a coffee. Will try and look in before I go to bed.

You guys seeeeeeeeeeeeem so busy today!!! I wish I were half as busy and ya'll!!!

Got back from vacation on Tuesday! Had three sermons to prepare for since then---right now I'm almost finished with Sunday mornings message---from 1John 3:8---somethin' about "Da' Debble Made Me Do It!!!!" That word, devil--comes from a Greek word Diobolos and means "To seperate, to shatter" You've heard the phrase, "He's a one man wreckin' crew!!"---Well, that's what the devil is!!! He's a wreckin' crew!! He'll take what you've got(anything---and if you let him--he'll take everything!!) and he'll wreck it!!!

But Jesus came to "Destroy" the works of the devil! Now, in order to destroy his works---that just means that Jesus does just the oppostie of what the devil does!!! The devil destroy your marriage---Jesus will put it back together! The devil destroy your career?? Jesus will put it back together!! See??

    Your Southern Baptist preachin' buddy,
    Blackbird

Hi Sig and welcome to the Coffee House! I hope you become a regular! This is a place to take a break from the debating forums. :D

We have a 'winter storm watch' coming all this way from the Gulf of Mexico (I wish it wouldn't have bothered!) Very cold temps and a mixture of ice, sleet, and snow! Harumph......so much for my hopes of seeing a tulip peek through THIS week!

I am sending an APB out on CJ! She hasn't stopped in for awhile. I hope she hasn't gotten sick again. :(

I am done with work for the week end and I am glad. Those wind chills give ME a chill!

I have to run to the post office and mail an ebay item.

Y'all play nice while I'm gone!

Doesn't that describe an individual who enjoys funerals and attends as many as possible? [IMG] [IMG]
