OldRegular: //So I am curious, how are people saved in the so-called millennial kingdom?//

Ed Edwards: //Here is I question I believe has a Biblical answer:
How to people get saved NOW?

(reacall also that some people, some preterists, beleive we
are living in the millennial kingdom RIGHT NOW.
So right up front you will know that whatever you answer
my quesiton, I'll be right back at you with: "well
that is how they get saved in the millennial kingdom.)//

I am very disappointed. This Forum is composed of a vocal
    number of anti-dispensationalists.
    I ask a serious
question which should be of paramount importance to these people,
namely: How are people saved NOW?
Yet none of these anti-dispensationalists seem
to be able to provide an answer. ;)

You are incorrect. It is your statement:
that is a non sequitur [an inference which does not follow from the premises]. We are discussing Scripture here, not atheistic philosophy. If dispensationalists claim that people are saved during some earthly millennial reign by the Glorified Son of God then they should be able to state how people are saved during that period of time.

Doesn't it take Satan to be lost? Satan is bound by the "fear of God". It takes the fear of God for a sinner to do what needs to be done to be saved. Or in other words "bound Satan". Only one time on this earth when even the evil men said: (truly this is the son of God) and confessed as also they will do when Christ comes again and also the earth turned dark and did quake and fear befell men. Believe me, if that were to happen today we would all fear and don't think no one would be sinning at that very moment. [IMG]

    Why?

Act 4:11 This is the stone which was set at naught of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.
Act 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

How did people get saved before the flood?

Question: how did people get saved in the flood.

    Answer: In the Ark.

How do folks get saved today?

    Through the ark: Messiah Jesus.

    So Ed:
It was those left behind who were saved as you now have confirmed. I need to copy this. ;) [IMG] [IMG]

People are saved now by the Grace of God through Faith [God Given] in Jesus Christ. I guess to convince you I will need to quote some Scripture:

Ephesians 2:8 [KJV] For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Ed Ed you need to understand that all people who believe that Jesus Christ is currently reigning from Heaven are not preterists.

People are saved now by the Grace of God through Faith [God Given] in Jesus Christ. I guess to convince you I will need to quote some Scripture:

Ephesians 2:8 [KJV] For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Jesus Christ is not currently visible on earth; He is reigning from Heaven, seated at the right hand of God the Father. Recall His words to Thomas:

    John 20:26-29
    26. And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.
    27. Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.
    28. And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.
    29. Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

You dispensationalists claim that Jesus Christ will dwell in Jerusalem for 1000 years in the full Glory of the Godhead. Scripture tells us that mortal man cannot look upon the Glory of God and live. If God the Son is on David's throne in Jerusalem how are people saved? It seems to be a question that you should be able to answer.

I answered this above but three times won't hurt:

Ephesians 2:8 [KJV] For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

</font>[/QUOTE]Ed Ed very sad that dispensationalists have no doctrine for salvation during the earthly millennial reign of God the Son in all His Glory on Davids throne in Jerusalem. Of course you know that Walvoord, the preminent dispensationalist theologian and former President of the Dallas Seminary, claims that Jesus Christ will have to share the throne with David [Major Bible Prophecies, page 393]. Don't know whether they will both try to squeeze in the seat or whether they will work in shifts?

Rev 3:21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

Going to need a bigger throne? Or perhaps this word throne is not referring to a single physical chair, but rather the power and authority it represents. The disciples were told they would sit on 12 thrones judging the 12 tribes of Israel. So perhaps this means that the thrones they will be sitting in will derive their authority from Jesus. OR it means that these various thrones will transform and combine into one single giant mega-throne robot whenever enemy robots attack. You decide.

Heb 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Rev 3:21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

These appear to mean the same thing...

    Jeremiah 3:17
17 At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the LORD; and all the nations shall be gathered unto it, to the name of the LORD, to Jerusalem: neither shall they walk any more after the imagination of their evil heart.

Jerusalem... the throne of the Lord... hmmmm

As I stated on another thread Me4Him you are consistent but are consistently wrong. </font>[/QUOTE]Don't ya think you should know the scripture sufficiently to show the mistake and put it in it's proper "Context", before saying it's wrong??

That, you haven't done, so evidently, you're operating on a "gut feeling" rather than "scriptural knowledge", UH?? :D [IMG] [IMG]

BTW, the same Jesus who left is the same Jesus coming back, and the "FATHER" has committed all Judgment to "JESUS", where does that leave the "FATHER"???  [IMG]

If you'll pay "close attention" to the minor details, in heaven Jesus sits on the "right hand", of the Throne,

"Earth" is the only place in scripture where you'll find Jesus sitting on "HIS THRONE",

Your interpretation of Scripture parrots the errors of Darbyism/Scofieldism. :D :D :D :D What more need be said? [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

    James

I think that you correctly understand that "thrones" in Scripture generally refers to the power and authority they represent. However, some dispensationalists always insist that Jesus Christ will sit on David's throne in Jerusalem. Why does He sit on David's throne? It is Jesus Christ who is God, not David. As I noted earlier Walvoord insists that David will be coregent with Jesus Christ [Major Bible Prophecies, page 393], God the Son. Sounds ridiculous to me.

I will take a stab at it, ok?

    First;
It is NOT of paramount importance to this saved saint. What IS of paramount importance is 'how many souls will I be able to present to The Lord Jesus Christ at the Judgment Seat of Christ?'.

    Secondly;
It does not matter how the folks in the MK are saved. I say this because it also makes no difference how folks before Abraham were saved either. What matters NOW is 'What are/am you/I doing with your/my salvation'?

I am very disappointed. Why haggle about a non-issue like how are folks saved in the
    Millenium?

    Luke 1:32
32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:

Undoubtedly Jesus Christ is the Son of the Highest. His Diety is unquestioned, yet He is going to occupy the throne of David. No one would imagine that David's throne is exalted into the third heaven. I don't know why God wants to dwell on earth with men. But I am sure He will.

    Revelation 21:3
3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

God now dwells with man on earth.

2Co 6:16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God ; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Paul takes a prophecy from Ezekiel and applies it to 1st century believers.

God dwells in His earthly Tabernacle which is His Church:

    Eph 2:20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
Eph 2:21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:
Eph 2:22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

So doesn't that make Rev 21:3 a fulfilled prophecy?.
