WELCOME ONE AND ALL TO THE

The only "RULE" here is NO fussin' - NO fightin' - NO feudin'!

I will try to be here to serve you; but if not, feel free to help yourself.

First one in every morning puts the coffee and tea on, last one out at night turns the lights off...

We serve donuts, cinnamon toast (dry toast available upon request), crumpets, bagels, scones, croissants, brioche rolls, yogurt, salads, light lunches, popsicles, ice cream, homemade cookies and homemade pies, and homemade jams.

We also serve coffee (with/without caffeine), hot chocolate, hot tea, iced tea, fresh squeezed lemonade and orange juice, cappuccino, Mountain Dew, DP, DDP, Coke, Pepsi, Diet Sierra Mist, milk, milk shakes, Kool-Aid, and Carb Options.

If you don't see your drink or food of choice...just ask, we will do our best to stock it for you!

Our aim is to please...come and sit a spell, enjoy the fellowship and come back often!

As Christians, we are ALL on common ground...

I know EXACTLY what you mean Gayla! I had to have RX nasal spray and some "happy" medicine before my MRI. You must be in there right now - I pray that you know God is with you, and that your mind is dwelling on Him and anything else except on where you are.

Here I am!!! [IMG] [IMG]

thanks for praying!!! I made it through the MRI quite well. The Ativan helped me relax, made me loopy. Carl was right there with his hand on my shoulder, if he took it off, I'd open one eye and look at him until he put it back. Even talked a little bit, and sang some Veggie Tales songs!
We want the Nurse to call with results, that way we know it is good news!

Glad to hear that Gayla. Praying for good news.

Our electricity was off for 5 hours today. 95 degrees outside with 106 index. It only got to 81 degrees in the house ;)

I couldn't believe how quiet it was in the house and the neighborhood. We could hear noises that usually go unnoticed. Sure made Muffin, jumpy.

Can you believe that it went off just as I was going to vacuum?

We went by the church and a young college girl couldn't get her car started or locate a family member. We couldn't get her car started either so we took her home so the house was beginning to cool by the time we got home.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. There will be garage sales all over town tomorrow.

Morning all:

It's n70 degrees here, and rainy. Sort of humid, but not too bad.

Viv and I have a lot to do today...got to take the garbage to the convenience center, then to the post office, then we have to get some groceries. After that we go into Murfreesboro to look at some drapes at Sears. We've been in this house for eight months and don't have any mini-blinds or drapes up yet...just some Indian blankets hanging to cover the windows. Then, if it stops raining for a while, we're going to try and push mow some of the lawn. We're hoping it isn't too thick to do that...or too wet.

Viv's still asleep, but I couldn't stay in bed any longer. My back was killing me, and I could feel that my blood sugar was low. I took it and it was. So, I'm waiting for the coffee, and I'm going to eat a few fig newtons.

Hope everyone has a great day today, and if I'm not back on today, tomorrow! I know that Viv and I are looking forward to tomorrow. It's the day our church is going to sign a document asking that our memberships be removed from Midland Baptist and our letters be sent to Faith Community Church. It is basically the Charter Members list and Charter Sunday for us. Praise the Lord! We're excited! [IMG]

Good morning all:

It is 63º and foggy but NO RAIN in sight for the next week!

Dale is working until 1:00 today, so I'm gonna have to get up on the roof <sigh> and take the tarps off so the sun can dry the wood and, hopefully, we can finish it this afternoon or tomorrow.

Brent and I will be busy washing all the pots, pans, and bowls we used to catch drips, then we need to yank the carpet up and haul it out to the dumpster so the wood on the floor can dry out.

Our ceiling has started buckling from all the water. I sure hope it can be saved!

Gayla, it's good to hear the test is over. Now, I want the results!

Tony, glad Viv is finally getting some rest and God bless on tomorrow's venture.

Lincoln is having it's annual hot-air Balloon Fest, and Art Show, this week end. I'm hoping we can get out there this evening, or tomorrow, to enjoy some of it.

Going to make some coffee,

Good Morning everyone!

Been a busy couple of days for me, so I haven't had a chance to check in. In this case, busy is good. When I decided not to substitute this year, I told the Lord that I might need to bring in some more sewing. Well He brought it in! Now I have to get it done. A couple of things could have waited till Monday, but with Katrina coming in, I've decided I'd better get it done today and tomorrow so the customer's won't have to get out in the storm. If it hits the coast where they say it will, we will get some bad whether from it.

So today will be spent doing what little has to be done outside and in the garage to get ready and when that is done I'll get to the sewing machine. Thankfully, not much has to be done outside. We never undid most of the stuff from Dennis. I'll probably put Precious on the lawn mower and take down the screen gazebo. The garage got into a mess when I pulled out the pool parts last month, so I'll need to straighten that out. My poor doggies will spend any really stormy weather in there, so the less they have to chew on or tear out due to boredom, the better!

First I've got to get dressed and go get Bitsy from the spend the night party she went to last night. The house sure is quiet even when just one kid is gone.

Guess I'd better get started, thanks for the coffee Sue. Hopefully the damage to your sunroom won't be as bad a you think. Will your insurance cover it?

Gayla, I'm glad this MRI went better and will pray for good results.

Glad you're doing better Lea.

Tony, good luck getting your grass mowed. Don't you two work to hard!

I fear once a ceiling starts to bow to water damage, it is finished, and you might better replace it now than face future heartache. If dry rot sets in wood it can only be stopped by removal. It is like a virus that spreads...it can't be cured.

Cheers,

Jim

Oh my! I was afraid of that, Jim.

We got the carpet up and have a fan blowing on the wooden floor. I think it will be all right.

The ceiling has needed replaced for a while as it was the original ceiling for the 'open' porch before it was closed in, but we were avoiding it as long as possible because we had so many other things that needed done.

We also got the tarps off of the roof so the sun would dry it, but it is clouding up now. No rain is forecast though so maybe this is just a passing cloud.

We FINALLY got all 100+ containers washed, dried, and put away, that we used to catch all the leaks. THAT was a JOB!

MK: Was wondering where you were...

Good to see you, Jim.

Wish you had better news for Sue.

Ed and I have been garage sailing this morning. We bought lots of good "junk".

Mk, looks like the storm is headed your way again. Praying for all in the path.

It is getting darker here now. I hope we get the Yard mowed before the rain starts.

(A little humor here as I was typing "It is getting darker here, Ed walked in and turned on the light in the room)

Thank you very much, Betty.

As you might know by now, I have returned to the Anglican Church as a member now, and needed some adjustment time. It is a strategic change rather than doctrinal. With no Baptist Church within 80 miles, becoming a member of the church we attended, opened up ministry for me. My ordination has been recognized by the local Bishop and I am authorized to teach in the Anglican community. I now hold Evening Prayers and a mid-week study group.

My situation didn't change, but I felt obligated to inform Webmaster about what was happening and voluntarily opted to post only to non-Baptist forums.

Cheers, and God bless,

Jim
