Either you also are deceptive or more likely just misinformed. Justified already admitted, and falsely so, that the required field only asked to put his nearest local church. Read my above post and you will see that that is just not true. The church that he put he does not even attend. He was deliberately deceptive; refused admittance to the board when he did identify himself as a Catholic. This time he avoided the term Catholic and was admitted. Are you telling me that that is not deception. I'll ask you the same question. Is deception a Catholic virtue?

DHK, why keep stirring the fire, shouldn't you put it out?

I let the moderators decide who is allowed to post and not to post. That is not my business. I do abhor dishonesty. When I look at your profile and am led to believe that I am talking to a Baptist, then find out later that I am speaking with a Catholic, yes it makes a difference to me, a great deal of difference. People should be upfront, not ashamed of what they are. If you're ashamed to be a Catholic then be something else. Just tell the truth.

I wasn't being dishonest, all those statements are true.

Yes, it must have been traumatic for you. You think you are talking to a baptist and the next thing you know you are actually talking to a hell-bound Catholic.

I am not ashamed that I am a Catholic, but baptistboard is. [IMG]

No they were false, as I have pointed out.

Does the Catholic Church admit into its membership Sikhs, without any change in doctrine, or acceptance of the catechism?
Is the Catholic Church then a private institution free to admit or refuse those to whom it wishes?
Is the Baptist Board then a private institution free to admit or refuse those to whom it wishes?
Would you like a refund on your application?

Of course Baptist Board can refuse Catholics if they chose to. I don't know of this having been stated by them however.

No, you haven't proven anything false.

Am I a born again Christian?
    answer....yes

Is the nearest baptist church First Greenway Baptist Church?
    answer....yes

Is my favorite verse "...if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing."
    answer....yes

Is my short personal statement regarding Jesus Christ "praise the Lord!"
answer....well, that is one of them [IMG]

You have just lied. Is lying one of your virtues?

Yes, baptistboard is free to whimsically and randomly reject anyone they wish to, I would expect nothing else. I never said otherwise, rather that doing so deceives the concept of the board, an area designated for ALL Christians to discuss. I have found out that they have another agenda though.

    What dishonesty!
    MY LOCAL BAPTIST CHURCH
That is what it says, Justified. It does not say "nearest" Show me in the profile where the word "nearest" is used. The caption is "MY local Baptist Church" Your answer is none. You don't have a local Baptist Church. You might have a local Catholic Church that you attend. You could put the name of that church in the box. Be honest. You don't attend a Baptist Church. Quit your lying and deception. If you don't attend a Baptist church don't say that you do. The emphasis there is on the MY. It is not YOURS. You do not belong to it. Why did you say you did.

MY RELIGION: What did you put?
It specifically asked for a denomination. You were deceptive. You did not put your denomination as asked. You did not put Catholic as asked. You put some other vague answer. In short you lied.

You are quite right Kathryn, and I am glad that you will at least acknowledge that much. If they do, I believe it would be due to a couple of reasons:
    1. They would be trying to weed out those who are not truly born again.
    2. They probably want a "balanced" board, ie., not being swamped with too many of any one denominatons. That has happened to us in the past.
    3. In relation to the above point there was a time when the Other Religions forum was completely shut down for a period of time, because it was so inundated with atheists. It just became a sounding board for atheistic propaganda. We would rather that this board be more for fellowship, as much as possible, even though in this forum there is a wide divergence of doctrine.

I am sure the moderators could add more. The first locked post at the top of this forum should also answer some of these same questions.

DHK, I have already explained to you that I misunderstood the meaning of the question as it was poorly worded. I said that I thought the question was asking where is the local or nearest baptist church, so I listed the church that was the nearest or in MY locality.

You already know why I didn't list my denomination. Why do so many others not list their denominations either? For fear of rejection by baptistboard.

It still stands that you have lied.

I have not lied. Surely you jest.
Look at your reasoning and then examine it:
    Pure rationalization.
If the kid down the block can take cocaine, then it is okay for me to do it too?
If my buddy jumps off a bridge and commits suicide, then its okay for you to do it too?
If your friends all speed and have no trouble in breaking the traffic laws then does make it right for you to do it also?

Do two wrongs ever make a right?
Just because every one else does it, does that make it right.
Come on Justified, my ten year old daughter knows better than that.

DHK, you like to read things into the argument, I never justified it because others do it. I plainly asked WHY do others not list their denomination, I didn't state nor imply that I thought it was justifiable beacause several others do it.

By your reasoning, yes you have lied.

There is not only deceit here; there is false accusation. Look at what the profile says:

Short personal statement of faith regarding Jesus Christ
The question being asked here is a "statement of faith," i.e., a personal statement of faith about your relation to Jesus Christ. "Praise the Lord" doesn't cut it. Have you accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as your Saviour? A personal statement. There is nothing personal about saying "Praise the Lord." "I trusted Christ as my Saviour in ____, at_____. That is a personal statement of faith in Christ. You said nothing that even resembled that.
You showed deception again, and this time gave false accusation as well.

DHK, would you like to throw me in the burning lake while you are at it?

Looks like someone has unseated God at the tribunal again, who is it this time?

    </font>[/QUOTE]DHK,

People who believe in the sinners prayer may just be giving lip service to God. It is not a fail safe method to know someone is saved.

"The foolish man thinks he is wise, and the wise man knows he is a fool"

I'm not calling anyone here a fool, but it is for everyone to ponder the deeper meaning of, and think about where this thread is right now.

    God Bless,
    Bro. Adam

Thank you for the wise words Brother Adam.

I think DHK and I would both agree that this arugment is pointless and going nowhere.

A perfect example of sola scriptura as "I am my own authority".

You have taken it upon yourself to redefine a word to fit your preconceived beliefs.

As I have said before, "you get to say what the words mean".

Under that system, you are your own authority by default.

Hello. I can understand on a Christian board, when people "attack" each other's religion. I don't see why people can't defend their beliefs, and what they see as true. However, I cannot see attacking each other's character, and making repeated accusations against the people themselves, because this not only appears petty, but also loses all crediblity when evangelising. John 8:1-11. God bless your day. --Quo vadis?
