    This are some thoughts I pen down a few days, what thintheh thee?

    The Jewish Messiah, YESHUA!

    Yeshua is a real, historical person, born in the Land of Israel, during the Roman occupation, approximately 3 BC to a Jewish mother. Yeshua told his Jewish disciples to go out and teach all the Goyim (nations) about Him (Mattayahu 28.19).

    Yeshua was crucified and rose from the dead three days later. Then, after eating, talking and walking with His disciples, Yeshua, "lifted up His hands and blessed them" (Luke 24.50). I believe He recited the The Aaronic Benediction (Bamidbar [Numbers] 6.24-26). This blessing is still given in Synagogues today with the lifting up of hands, as it was more than a thousand years before the resurrected Yeshua gave it: with lifted hands. In fact, another name for the Aaronic Benediction is "The Lifting up of Hands."

    Rav Shaul (Paul) tells us that while he was on the road to Damascus Yeshua spoke to him from heaven in Hebrew (Acts 26.14). Shaul, a Jew who was born a Roman citizen (Acts 22.27-28), was fluent in Aramaic, Greek (Acts 21.37) and possibly many other languages, but Yeshua spoke to him in Hebrew, the language of the Jews.

    Many years after His resurrection, Yeshua testified that He is the root and offspring of king David (Revelation 22.16), and in a time yet future, two of His titles will be Lion of the tribe of Judah, and Root of David (Revelation 5.5).

    In Mattayahu 24.20 He told us to pray concerning the coming tribulation, that we would not have to flee on the Sabbath. And in Mattayahu 26.27-29 Yeshua told the disciples that He will celebrate the Passover seder anew with us in His Father's kingdom. The standard He will use at the judgement is the Torah (Law) G-d gave to Israel. To those who fall short, He will say, "Depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness " (Mattayahu 7.22-23).

    In (Messianic Jews [Hebrews] 13.8) we are told Yeshua the Messiah is the same yesterday, today and forever. So, if He died a Jew He was resurrected a Jew, and He is one to this day.

    WE WANT MASHIACH BACK!

    Praise the Lord NT believers, Jew and Gentile alike will not have to go through the Tribulation. :eek: According to Eph 2 we are fully one in Christ and we will be saved and taken out before the beginning of the Day of the Lord. "For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ."
    We are sons of Abraham by faith and we should be daily awaiting His return. What a wonderful prospect. [IMG]

    In Christ there is no Jew nor Gentile. Romans 10:12; Gal. 3:28.

    All the nations of the earth are now "one blood" through Christ. Acts 17:26.

    ...though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more. 2 Corinthians 5:16.

    We are no longer concerned with Christ's Jewishness. The Apostles certainly never dwelled upon that fact, and the Letter to the Hebrews demonstrates that Christ's eternal priesthood predates and supercedes the temporal, carnal, inferior Jewish priesthood.

    Shalom Brothers...

    Messiah Yeshua now is the high priest in the order of Malkizidek, yet when He comes back, the priesthood of levi will be exercising their priesthood, ontop of a few non-Jewish people who will exercise that honor, but Messiah will not do any sacrificing, only the Priesthood. See

    Ezekiel 46:1-3 1 Thus saith the Lord GOD: The gate of the inner court that looketh toward the east shall be shut the six working days; but on the sabbath day it shall be opened, and in the day of the new moon it shall be opened. 2 And the prince shall enter by the way of the porch of the gate without, and shall stand by the post of the gate, and the priests shall prepare his burnt-offering and his peace-offerings, and he shall worship at the threshold of the gate; then he shall go forth; but the gate shall not be shut until the evening. 3 Likewise the people of the land (Ha'Aretz could mean earth, perhaps as Isaiah 66.23) shall worship at the door of that gate before the LORD in the sabbaths and in the new moons.

    Also if Jewishness is not longer a fact, why is the 144000 are male Jews? Also remember that Yeshua will be king in Israel, the Jewish capital of the world. The jewish world still has some role to play, including the Jewish king, Messiah!

    Shabat Shalom (Have a peaceful Sabbath)

    I was given a marvelous book a number of years ago entitled "Y'shua, the Jewish Way to Say Jesus" by Moishe Rosen of the organization Jews for Jesus. He presents it very well!

    As for "no more Jewishness" -- well, I'm not so sure about that. In Christ there is no difference, but in terms of them being a very special people to the Lord, I think that very much continues:

    But Zion said, "The Lord has forsaken me, the Lord has forgotten me."

    "Can a mother forget the baby at her breast
    and have no compassion on the child she has borne?
    Though she may forget,
    I will not forget you!
    See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands'
    your walls are ever before me.
    Your sons hasten back
    and those who laid you waste depart from you.
    Lift up your eyes and look around;
    all your sons gather and come to you.
    As surely as I live," declares the Lord,
    "You will wear them all as ornaments;
    you will put them on, like a bride.
    Though you were ruined and made desolate
    and your land laid waste,
    now you will be too small for your people,
    and those who devoured you will be far away."

    From Isaiah 49.

    I think we are seeing it come to pass now. Her sons are returning. And God will never forget the people He calls "My inheritance."

    Looking quickly for that passage, I also came across this, a page earlier,

    "If only you paid attention to my commands,
    your peace would have been like a river,
    your righteousness like the waves of the sea."

    from 48:18, the Lord is speaking to them -- the Jews. He had an option for them which is heartbreaking to see, for me. On the other hand, as Paul says later in Romans, they were cut off for a time for the sake of us, the Gentiles.

    But they will be restored. That promise runs all the way through the Prophets.

    Mevaser ,

    Good post! You are, of course, correct. In the not too distant future, we Gentile brothers will leave our institutional abominations and cleave to our elder brothers. Both will worship in love and benefit from our differences.

    Until that day, I long to fellowship with the entire Body.

    Bless you and yours,

    Jim

    Helen,

    Don't you think I know those OT prophecies? You must, as you always say, interpret Scripture with Scripture. The New Testament clearly puts forth the Church as the Israel of God and heirs of the Promise.

    To rebuild Judaism or the Temple is to testify that Christ has not come. Simple as that.

    Amen and amen! Aaron is absolutely right.

    Salvation is received through faith, not Jewish heritage (Romans 4). If one does not trust God in faith, a Jewish heritage does not help in the least.

    Not all who are are of Jewish heritage are part of the true (spiritual) Israel. (Romans 9:6-8) But only those who have followed the faith of Abraham (his spiritual descendants) are the Israel of God.

    And as Aaron posted previously, there is no difference between Jew and Gentile in the new Kingdom. Gentiles have been grafted in and those of Jewish heritage who do not receive Christ will be pruned out.

    There is no heirarchy according to ethnic heritage in the current and coming Kingdom.

    Furthermore, there is no more need for sacrifice since Christ has given Himself (read Hebrews 10 carefully). God has no interest in the sacrifice of animals (see Hebrews 10:8-9) and the days of sacrifice are over since Christ has been sacrificed "once, for all".

    There is a consistent delineation between Israel and Gentiles in this chapter, as in the other parts of Romans, Aaron.

    As far as the gospel is concerned, they are enemies on your account; but a far as election is concerned, they are loved on account of the patriarchs, for God's gifts and his call are irrevocable. Just as you who were at one time disobedient to God have now received mercy as a result of their disobedience, so they too have now become disobedient in order that they too may now receive mercy as a result of God's mercy to you. For God has bound all men over to disobedience, so that he may have mercy on them all.

    Paul consistently refers to them as the natural branches and says before the part I quoted that they will be grafted in again.

    God's message to Abraham has never changed:
    I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you;
    I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.
    I will bless those who bless you,
    and whoever curses you I will curse;
    and all the peoples on earth will be blessed through you.

    And we have been. And Abraham's offspring through Isaac are still special people. They may not know it or show it, but that does not stop the truth of God's Word.

    Romans 11
    25 For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. 26 And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written:

    This says to me that Israel is still the nation of people that God chose to reveal Himself through. To say that the Church is now the new nation of Israel (my emphasis added) seems to go against this passage of scripture.

    Until they are saved, they are the enemies of the Gospel, and should be treated as such. Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman.

    All Israel are only those who are Abraham's children by faith.

    That is the clear teaching of the New Testament.

    It should be noted that neither I, nor St. Paul, mean those who are Jews by race, but those who are Jews by creed.
