Surely someone does for he says that it is prepared for someone. The sons of thunder, James and John asked for it but Jesus said sorry guys, I can't give it to you.

    Mark 10:40
    "But to sit on My right or on My left, this is not Mine to give; but it is for those for whom it has been prepared."

    Well, apparently some people on this board know, because at least one of them has said that it is NOT Mary that is at the right hand of Jesus. So if they know who it is not, that means they know who it is.

    I await their answer.

    God bless,

    Grant

    I'm not the one who said anything about Mary, but try this link. It explains the answer to your question very well. [IMG]

    I am interested in what the Christians (i.e. trinitarians) have to say first.

    </font>
Well, I checked back to see if it was specified for a person that believes in three gods (i.e. trinitarians) to answer your question.

    It didn't! So, my answer is as good as the next, as long as it is scripturally sound....wouldn't ya think? ;)

    a person that believes in three gods (i.e. trinitarians)

    Christians do not believe in three Gods. They confess that there is companionship within one divine nature - not a number of Gods, but three persons within the one God.

    The phrase "three Gods" could only mean three distinct persons, each with his own separate divine nature, his own separate equipment as God. But this is not so. They possess one single nature; they do in fact what three men could not do - they know with the same intellect, love with the same will. They are three persons and each is God; but they are one God, not three.

    If you are open and willing to read a beautiful synthesis of the doctrine, I suggest Theology for Beginners and/or Theology & Sanity by Frank Sheed.

    I believe this is reffering to us. He has prepared a place for us. We are joint heirs with Christ. Therefore, we shall sit with him. God, the Father, has given it to His children. I think this goes hand in hand when he says, "I came not to do mine own will, but the will of Him that sent me." The Father's will was that the Son die for His children, so that the children might sit together with Christ in Heaven.

    It sure is a nice picture, isn't it? [IMG]

    God Bless. Brother James

    </font>
Yes, you are free to post, though your authors scriptural reasoning is not sound. Athanasius dealt with this 1700 years again in quite a bit of detail (non-trinitarian theology) so I will defer to him just as you did to your author. Interestingly enough he was not speaking against Sabellians but Arians. But the arguements he uses are quite valid against both.

    Just scroll down or search for Athanasius and read his many articles.

    Dionysus does speak against Sabellianism in 268:

    OK, how many "persons" will one see when they get to heaven? Just to make sure that you understand, I mean in the Godhead.

    John saw this many:

    Although I don't believe the question had to do anything with the Godhead, but rather who among the human race will be sitting on the right hand of Jesus? Was this the original question?

    Evidentally Jesus didn't want us to know, for he didn't tell us. It could be someone we have never heard of. For God honors those who do his work without seeking personal gains or rewards and honor from men.

    It could be one of the apostles, it could be a lot of people, we will never know until we get there. At least I am not aware of other verses that give us any answers.

    </font>
If the above, by Carson Weber, is what *all* Trinitarians believe, would someone tell me what they think a person, of the Oneness doctrine believes, concerning the Godhead? :confused:

    Briefly stated, they believe in an absolute oneness of God (even though the Bible shows us clearly that God is a compound unity). Oneness people believe that the titles Father, Son and Spirit are not persons but rather different "manifestations" (One person of God appearing simply in different forms) that represent offices, roles or relationships to humanity. (when in fact these titles show their relationship to one another not to humanity).
