    Hi to one and all!

Met with a new doctor yesterday - she thinks my thyroid is enlarged. Now how could anyone tell that on a man who is 6' 5" tall and weighs 288 pounds?

Hi Dan and Sheila - don't see you two very often anymore!

Well, we are off to do the papers and the corner, (in the rain) then come home and 'do' supper.

I will try to get back later this evening, but no guarantees. I am crocheting my fingers to the bone trying to get done before Christmas AGAIN! And I started in January!?!

    §ue (off and running)

    Hi Sue,

The news report a little while ago said there is snow in Birmingham and that is just 50 miles north of us. :(

You know it's not going to be a good day . . .

After helping a short time at the clinic and running to buy $800 stamps for our shipping products, I stopped by the store. Bought some sale items and stuff for church carry-in dinner on Sunday.

Ragu with sausage in it. Close out (guess it didn't go over big and store isn't carrying it) for under $2 a big jar.

You all know I'm kinda crippled up and my hands and feet have no feeling. Typicng is a chore. But found that getting the plastic bags out of the trunk, one of the handles rips and PLOP on the concrete lip of the garage floor is now a jar of pukey (literally) looking Ragu, sausage, and thousands of shards of glass. Yummy.

Still enough sunshine for me to try to pick it up, but of course with my disease my fingers don't work well. So will wait until 8 pm when the wife gets home and have her help me scrape up the rest of the mess - pray my tires will withstand any stray pieces.

Do you know how far a spill can spray when dropped less than 4 feet onto concrete?

If you drive by the house and see us with buckets of steaming water and flashlights, you'll know she hasn't killed me . . yet.

Poor Dr.B.! I don't think there are too many things that splatter as far as spaghetti sauce! (I guess that means I've dropped a jar or two...)

Sheila: I am NEVER ready for snow. Diane can have it ALL this year! [IMG]

Brent is recovering nicely from his dental appointment, but I still fixed him mashed potatoes and noodles for supper. We cashed in his coupon for a FREE Jr. Shake, and there is still some birthday cake left, so he was quite happy.

I am packing it in for tonight. I like to spend my evenings with Brent (Dale always naps before he goes to bed [IMG] )

I will be on bright and early in the morning.

    Pleasant dreams all!

A little secret, Dr. Bob..You know that we share similar problems...I secured a carrier like the paperboys use for newspapers...it slides over one shoulder and carries those plastic grocery bafs quite nicely and safely.

    Cheers,

    Jim

    evening all!

As far as the turkey goes, it will be cooked outside. I am gonna like the fact that my oven will be free for everything else! The turkey only takes like 15 minutes but needs to sit for a bit afterward. Of course, Ma, I will save ya some of the turkey. (like ya haven't had enough of turkeys with all us kids running around) [IMG] self included

Cajun sounds good but some of the people coming can't have all the spices due to health problems.

Well, time to relax and watch some TV. It's ER time tonight.

    HAGN all

That's a GREAT idea Jim1999~ I know when our kids used to deliver papers, they had to buy their paper holders. I bet Dr. Bob can find one to buy. Shucks! I have trouble carrying them just because I have to come up 2 flights of stairs and they cut into my hands...

That Hunts Spaghetti Sauce in a can is quite good for the price. I have to cook for such picky kids that we're eating it quite a bit.

It's happened to all of us, Dr. Bob. I've dropped a gallon of milk when I didn't have money to waste. :(

Sue, glad Brent is feeling fine and glad this is almost over for him. You did good Grandma!

Tav says, "I've dropped a gallon of milk when I didn't have money to waste."

Not to worry! Ole Bessie is a Holstein!! There's another gallon in her somewhere!!

"Give, Bessie, give! My kids have got to live!!"

PS---she may want to "hold out" on givin' that last gallon---on a cold Georgia mornin'!!

The best milk there is, is straight from the cow. That's the only milk we drank as children. My grandparents would take us to a farm and they'd fill our bottles. We didn't get to drink a LOT of milk. The milk man would deliver to our house once the farm closed down. In fact, when Jim and I were first married we had milk delivered, eggs, butter....

Did you sign in on the "Who Am I?" Forum? If so, we try to send everybody here.

Except if you're from a Blue state. Sorry. [IMG] [IMG]

Seriously, we've got herbal tea for the late night crowd and love to visit. But let me say, most go to bed early around here. One of the joys of being in the West is staying up past their bedtime.

Good morning all and WELCOME BONNIE!

    Hey Dr. B.! [IMG]

Watchman and Roger: Good to see you popping in every now and then!

Busy day today - making dough - rolling - cutting - decorating Christmas sugar cookies (a LOT of them), and that's in between school work, papers, and the corner...

Good morning all! Good morning Mama!

Hi Annie, little wword everyone loves to joke around here too. Welcome!

Anyone know how to start up the PC in safe mode? I seem to have lost THAT part of my brain this morning!

Safe Mode? Used to have to do that all the time with my old computer but never with this one. Seems to me you hold something down at boot up tho. Can't remember what tho! Well I'M no help at all! LOL

Welcome Annie. We do a lot more than just hello in here. Just whatever comes to mind. It's a fun place with no debates allowed.

I always dread trying to get all my Christmas decorations up two flights of stairs. I really need to get started tho! Last year we could have our son Jon carry up the boxes and I took my time putting things out. With the daycare kids... that's not going to work!

Tomorrow night is the Gaither concert. Jim's old boss, our dear friends, are also taking us out to supper! I haven't eaten out in a LONG time. They bought our tickets to the concert too. I think they still feel bad that their company had to let everyone go. Jim was the last man there.
