Hi,
Should Baptists be campaigning to change the English language to incorporate gender? A whole dimension of Bible meaning is lost in English as we have little or no concept of gender. Greek, Latin and French all use gender for nouns - I guess so does Hebrew. English is sexually repressed as a language and can be kind of wooden as a result.
Its really bordering on impossible to be a "Bible-Alone-ian" in English - all the romance is lost.
Perhaps protestants should be at the forefront in the campaign to bring back Latin as they were the ones who got it dropped.
Funny when we talk about ourselves we switch into Latin or French (curriculum vitae or "Resume").
