    Tatertot, thank you. This has been a special time of blessing to us.

    Sue, I am praying for you both.

    Sue, here's a verse that works for me every time, especially when I sing it to myself:

    Be strong and courageous.
    Do not be terrified;
    do not be discouraged,
    for the LORD your God will be with you
    wherever you go.

    Joshua 1:9

    Possibly Dale can get off or Bobby can take you for the surgery?? I'm so glad the surgery will be done quickly and as an outpatient. I'm sure Brent will be in an enormous amount of pain for a few days!

    I cannot drive past Thorton Road in the outskirts of Atlanta. The traffic terrifies me! The airport is off Thorton Road/ Camp Creek Parkway... and I can make that with no concerns at all. It's about 45 mins. each way. Jim has to take Nick to the dentist because it's on the far side of Atlanta. Otherwise I'd have to go all the way around Atlanta!

    It's almost time for my second set of kids to arrive. I'm sure they're going to come in asking for junk food but I've got a surprise for them. Carrots, cheese cubes or yogurt. The other 3 had a nice lunch with cheese and carrots and then had Breyer's Cream Savers Yogurt for dessert. [IMG] One of the little girls arrived at 8:30 eating a bag of potato chips. Her mom said that's what she eats for breakfast. I gave her cereal and she did eat some....

    OK, Ladies! Ethics question!! A predicament that Blackbird was involved in---see how you would solve it!

    I was driving home from Memphis today and at lunch time I stopped at a Burger King in the town I was passing through! I walk inside---order a Double Cheeze Burger with bacon, order of medium fries and a Coke!

    The little lady hands me a bag---I walk out---get back on the interstate and open the bag---it was a double Whopper with cheeze, a super size fry and a large drink----I was too far away and impossible to "turn around!"----Evidently, she handed me the bag that belonged to someone else! Any advise???

    Well I don't know the difference cost wise since we don't eat fast food. Did you check to see if that's what you paid for? If it were a difference, stick the change in an envelope for the owner/ manager with a note and a tract. [IMG]

    I took a nap after the last two left and Nick and I had eaten. I am still exhausted!

    Not wanting to sound like I'm rationalizing, but if you took the trouble to turn back and make things "right", you would probably be causing more trouble and aggravation for the folks there than it was worth. Think about it - you get in line, try to explain, they look at you like you're speaking Greek because this is not just another order, so you explain some more. Meanwhile the customers behind you are wondering what the holdup is, get aggravated, and take their business elsewhere. So by then, you've COST the BK money, instead of saving them money. And you probably get some kid in trouble for it to boot.

    I chalk those things up to evening out the times when I've been the one on the short end of the stick, and I didn't complain.

    What were you doing driving and eating at the same time in the first place? Don't you know that's dangerous?

    Thanks for the encouragement and prayers everyone!

    Blackbird: You ate the food - enjoy it. Debby is right. You would only cause confusion by going back to the restaurant.

    Debby: I sing several verses when I'm on the highway:

    "Fear not for I have redeemed thee;
    I have called thee by thy name, thou art mine.
    When thou passest through the waters,
    I will be with thee;
    and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee:
    when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned;
    neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. For I am the LORD thy God.
    (based on Isaiah 43:1-3)

    (sometimes I make up my own ;) )
    "When I am afraid I will trust in thee,
    In God I have put my faith.
    In God I have put my trust,
    I will not fear what flesh can do to me."

    "Hallelujah, I've got the victory,
    Jesus lives in me.
    Satan keep your storm that rages,
    I'm on the Rock of Ages,
    'Cause I've got the victory."

    Hallelujah, I've got the victory,
    Jesus lives in me.
    Satan you can't malign me,
    No longer can you bind me.
    'Cause I've got the victory.

    Hallelujah, I've got the victory,
    Jesus lives in me.
    Satan keep your labels,
    My God has turned the tables,
    And I've got the victory!"

    Pleasant dreams all!

    Good morning all: [IMG]

    Looks like I'm meeting myself coming and going! :confused:

    Papers were delivered by 6:00 this morning and I am catching up on some posting. I set the alarm for 4:00, but forgot to turn it on, so I didn't wake up until almost 5:00! :rolleyes:

    Grandpa had to fold papers in the back seat while Brent and I threw them! :D

    Grandpa and Brent have fallen back asleep. I will get them up at 8:00 so they can go to Springfield and pick up a FREE twin bed (with box springs and mattress) for Bobby's bedroom. [IMG]

    Off to [IMG] other forums,

    Good morning to you good folks! We have heavy rain here in the Big Apple.... raining like cats and dogs! It will be an all day affair, so we have to do house chores and not go out. Hope you have a better weather to enjoy! [IMG]

    It looks like this on the radar: http://weather.gov/radar/latest/DS.p20-r/si.kdix.shtml

    Good morning Barnabas!

    We are having cool fall weather here with no rain. I hope you are stocked up at home since you will be housebound - if not, here's a 12-pack... [IMG]

    Good Morning All! Only my child today and Jim is already working so I get to do laundry, vacuum, scrub floors and then hope to get outside to pick up some of the debris and the one tree we lost in the hurricane winds. My backyard is a MESS! The one tree that finally came down fell toward the house but it was at the back of our acre so didn't come near the deck or house! PTL!

    Barnabas, our son and his wife are on that radar model too but looks like you're getting much more than they today.

    Praise but concern... Our son in law got the morning show job at KC101 in New Haven, Ct. and starts Oct. 1st. It's for a nice raise in pay too. My concern is that he is a non practicing Catholic from a strong Catholic family. Our two granddaughters will now live minutes from this family and there's already talk about Catholic school. Our daughter and he lived within walking distance to the Baptist church in Maine and never attended once in 4 years. :( I'm so far away that I have no influence on the spiritual lives of these little ones other than the videos I send and CD's of Christian children's songs. I can pray but worry so much about these little ones (4 in Nov. and 1 1/2)

    Tomorrow is Sunday School so I need to call those who aren't attending and get some craft or coloring page ready.

    Busy, Busy, Busy!

    Boy Howdy from LaLaLand. Enjoying time with the family. Of course, it's hotter in Casper than here, but we're heading to the beach soon. Did the pool yesterday and lots of eating out. And we were up very late at the Angels game and special fireworks show (best I've seen in a long time) and the boys were a joy!

    Dr. Bob, Lovely pictures. Thank you for sharing.

    Well, after a lot of delays and one cancellation we are now at home in England. We have had the most wonderful time with such wonderful people. We have been thoroughly spoilt. Rob and I have enjoyed such lovely and warm fellowship, friendship and love from all we met. We have thoroughly enjoyed your American hospitality and we have some extra inches to prove it. [IMG] We are now going to take a much needed nap and I will look in later.

    God Bless

    Hubby is on his way home from Mexico. (I know yall are tired of hearing about it!) There are 4 men from our church on this team, and we wives have prepared a nice American meal for them to enjoy when they get back tonight. We are having grilled chicken, sausage, hamburgers, and hotdogs, potato casserole, cole slaw, fresh squash, green beans, mac and cheese, baked beans, homemade bread, sweet tea, and blueberry crunch. My girls made signs and decorations for everyone, too. We are decked out in our party clothes, and we'll be going to get Daddy in just 2 short hours!!!!

    I guess Tater Tots hubby is home and enjoying lots of hugs and kisses after a good meal. Those were some fine vittles indeed!

    I took a nap this afternoon and then talked with my mom for about an hour.

    Jim has OFF all day Sunday and Tuesday. We're thrilled! He can even sleep in on Tuesday. I always take Ty down to our t.v. room and try to get him to fall back asleep. I just have the brother and sister on Tuesday afternoon. I pick up him at 2:45 and his sister after flute at 4:00. Max (the brother) won't like Jim being home. He's afraid of everyone!

    Well I think I'll watch a little t.v., get Nick ready for bed and fold some clothes left over from earlier today.

    Enjoy your evening and SEE YOU IN CHURCH!
