    Evening all!

Had another great sermon tonight. Proverbs 2:10-17, 5:5, 5:15-23. Fantastic for 'newly' weds AND 'oldy' weds! :D

Came home and saw the Cubs were winning 2-0. What a great day all around! [IMG]

    Great day at church.

I gave Shinja, Wedge Former, Guitar25, BelovedSon, and Tom (non BB member) the right-hand-of-fellowship today - as we officially welcomed them into the membership of our church.

Today was also communion Sunday. I teach that to take communion you must be:
    1. Saved
    2. Baptized
    3. In a right relationship with the Lord.

Well the five of them are now baptized - and they got to take communion at our church for the first time!

Jim, wish we could come for a visit. The area around your home sounds wonderful.

We were excited last summer when we saw one bear on our Alaska Trip. I love wildlife. I worked for the wildlife department for 22 years and yes, I know they kill (harvest) some of those critters. There was were I learned to keep quiet. Those hunters paid my salary.

We just have birds in our yard and most of them have gone south for the winter.

    Good evening.

Great news, Dan. Sometimes, as pastors, we overlook the importance of these first steps. Then when family follows the Lord thusly, the impact hits home. God bless them and lead them on to greater heights.

Betty, You and Ed are welcome anytime. We are in behind 25 acres of woodlot. Sometimes a curse when we are snowed in and it takes all day to blow snow, but even then I have spotted a Snowy Owl perched high in a tree. On a sunny day there are 100's of squirrels jumping from tree to tree. The Lord's creation is a marvellous sight.

We do allow some hunting here to cull the deer. I have seen a deer that starved to death in the woods,,deep snow and not enough available food, but I still don't like hunting. Must face reality.

    Cheers,

    Jim

So Dan... the fill in preacher kept talking about the Braves .... wanting the Braves to win. Jim said 'I almost went forward today... but not for PRAYER!' Gonna take that preacher OUT! LOL

Well, I broke my rules on the Lord's Day to-day and attended an organized sport; a hockey game. Can't say who won cos I left half way through. My conscience got the better of me.

    Good night to all.

    Cheers,

    Jim

Trust everyone had a good Lord's Day (except Jim, whose conscience is still condemning him for enjoying himself!!) and look forward to a close walk with the Savior this new week.

Seems a little bit cold around all of America. Think that because the Cubs won, something is freezing over!

And glad all are in good spirits. But I must turn in early. After a snack. And the Dick Van Dyke rerun! [IMG]

Not yet Sue. This will be the National League Championship Series. But I too would like to see them make the World Series.

GOOD morning all! Hope the Cubs fans had a good night sleep, and did not stay up into the morning hours. Now we have to see what will be the outcome of the Red Sox and Angels fith game... the winner will have the unfortunate opportunity to face the wrath of the Yankees for the American League Championship. May the Lord have mercy upon them... [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

    Good morning! God bless.

Marvellous morning with full sun and a white coating upon everything. Yes, frost! The hair on the hides of animals that helps keep them cool in summer, helps keep them warm in winter. No wonder we used to buy fur coats!

So, am I forced to cheer for the Yankees? Or is Atlanta still in the contest?

    Cheers,

    Jim

    Jim,

One is never forced to cheer for the Yankees.

Whether is the A's or the Sox (Boston's brand) - you'll always have a choice when picking a team to cheer for in the ALCS!!

Cubs vs Marlins will be an interesting series. One of them has never lost a World Series contest (can the Yankees say that) - the other hasn't been in your lifetime. Interesting.

Jim, how are you feeling today?

    Dan
