It depends. Are the baptist, Deacons, The WMU, Building and Grounds or the Pastor. The deacons would have an emergency meeting and discuss in detail the pros and cons. The WMU would spend all their time talking about doing it, but run out of time before they could actually do anything. Buildings and Grounds would meet on Saturday morning and complete the job in record time. But, the preacher could actually do it because he just sits around the office all day with nothing to do.

Does your church staff have a staff retreat?

Not that I know of, but they and a lot of the men in our church go to Pastor's School for a week every year.

Our women also have a retreat for a week every year. It's called Christian Womanhood.

    Does your church do this?

My synagogue has several retreats for women
yearly, and I have yet to go to one. They had a
meeting about an upcoming one yesterday, and
once again, I could not attend the meeting, but I
probably would not have gone anyway.

It is an old, old fear, when it comes right down to
it; I just don't like being alone with all women. It is
    very uncomfortable for me.

Those of you with arthritis, are the sumer months
    fairly pain-free?

I don't have arthritis, but I have Chronic Bronchitis. So far, I have yet to find a season where I am not bothered to one degree or another.

    Anyone have allergies?

Yes - mold, pollen and dust. It doesn't bother me as it did when I was a kid, though. I used to have to get shots twice a week, and now I just take an allergy pill every now and then.

Only if he's a keeper. Otherwise, no foul.

    Is he a keeper?

Well, I haven't thrown mine back in yet! :D

Speaking of keepers; am I my brother's keeper?

Now, you know where that attitude got Cain? ;) Yes...You can keep your brother from stumbling by being a good godly example...or you could keep him in a cage. Are there laws about that in Illinois? [IMG] The Bible doesn't say anything about training him though. It says to train up a child in the way he should go...is your brother a child? (sorry, I think I'm getting manic)

Kelly...How could you forget your boyfriends birthday? Doesn't he mean anything to you at all?! [IMG] (I don't know why I like messing with you...I'll try to stop) [IMG]

How many times does the Bible say you should forgive your brother?

70 time 7 which means over and over and over and over and 'forever'! :D

(My brother is older than me and lives in another state...not even sure why I asked that) [IMG]

"Then were the king's scribes called at that time in the third month, that is, the month Sivan, on the three and twentieth day of it, and it was written according to all that Mordecai commanded unto the Jews, and to the deputies, and the governors, and princes of the provinces according to its writing, and unto every people after their language, and to the Jews according to their writing, and according to their language." Esther 8:9

How many times is the word "girl" mentioned in the Bible?

"Girl" is used 22 times in the New King James
    Version (nKJV).

In the KJV1873 it is used once here:

    Joel 3:3 (KJV1873):
And they have cast lots for my people; and have given a boy for an harlot, and sold a girl for wine, that they might drink.

My question comes from a song in my head:

    How many times have
    You heard someone say:
    "If I had his money,
I could do things my way"?

    But the wealthiest person
    Is a palper at times
    Compared to the man
    With a satisfied mind.

    Money can't buy back
    Your youth when your old
Or a friend when your lonely
Or a love that's grown cold.

If I had his money my wife would spend it all. I don't have to relive my youth. I'm spending all my money on my boys. Baseball camps, soccer camps, karate, youth trips, braces, school, etc.

My wife has a friend whose husband is the "His" in the 'his money'. They make about 120,000 G's more than we do. You couldn't tell it. His wife is always talking about being broke and living paycheck to paycheck. What would his money do for me?

Is there any virtue in spending time on the BB?

No. I'd be perfectly happy to skip the storms of spring and the heat of summer and go right into a prolonged nice crisp fall with fresh apples and cider everywhere and marshmallow roasts...

    What's your favorite season? [IMG]

Far and away, eating grass and safe from bullets. Unless someone wants to make deer jerkey for me, then I'll hold 'em, you shoot! Wait, bad idea.

    What all do you hunt?

Ech, no. Okay, if I have to mend something simple (for example, I once caught my skirt on a file cabinet drawer and the nice modest slit turned into a mega slit that went more than halfway up my thigh  ) I will, but otherwise I take it to the tailor. My mother doesn't either. She'll hem a skirt or trousers or something, and we all sew buttons back on and the like, but that's it.

Q: What's the earliest moment you can remember?
