For those of you wondering about the weather, my children decided to give the forecast. ROFL

Minnesota: It's going to be raining mini sodas, so travellers, head out with your bags packed full of ice!

(at this point youngest child screams MOOOOMMMMYY, she's not doing a REAL forecast, so the rest was SERIOUS, ya hear?!)

If you're in North Carolina, there's gonna be a BIIIIGGGG WIND!

In Virginia, it's going to snow. So don't go to the beach, because you can't swim in ice. Then it's going to flood. Bad news for everyone in Virginia.

If you're in Texas though, don't worry. It's going to be very nice, and sunny. A beautiful day, so don't worry about anything, ok?

Missouri: there's going to be BIG thunder!

Florida: It's going to be ok so go to work, but you might want to watch out for alligators after the flood. They bite people.

Hey Gina, that's a great forecast. Especially I like the one about Florida, since my wife and I will be heading that way this coming Thursday morning. Trouble is, we will not have a direct flight and we have to touch down in Atlanta. Hope our airplane will be on time and we catch our flight out of there. Last time we had to literally run on those long corridors - then the offials thought that we missed the flight and they gave our seats away. Only one seat left. But PTL there was a kind young man who gave up his seat in exchange of two vouchers for future airline tickets anywhere in the continental US. [IMG]

Back home and WOW you all are a talkative lot today. Of course, by now, all will be asleep and I'll be busy talking to myself again . . .

60+ tomorrow in Casper. What snow? Oh, look on the mountain and it's still beautiful white.

    Up there. Away from me!

    Good morning!

For all who are mystified by the Saints day just a quick word of explanation.

Here in Ireland it is like the 4th of July, or any other national holiday. For those in America, virtually EVERYONE claims some sort of Irish ancestry so that it is why it is so big there.

Did you know that the three biggest Patricks Day parades are (unchecked, going on something I heard here last year)

    1. New York
    2. Dublin
    3. Savannah, GA

And while I am always irritated that the Catholics tried to steal Peter and make him their first pope, I am also upset each March 17th to think they've tried to rob us our our great missionary Patrick!

Happy St Patrick's (and St Bob's) Day to you all!

Was curious about my earlier claim so looked at their WEB SITE where they are called the second largest US St Patrick's Day parade - making in the third largest in the world.

    Way to go Savannah!

Well this home boy is sleepy. Think I need to crash and burn for a while, so will bid a HAPPY ST BOB'S DAY to all, turn the blanket up to par broil, and climb in.

    Morning!

How did all those people get off today to go to the parade. My luck, the luck of my Irish ancestry, I would call in sick and then be seen on the telly.

Temps in the 70's today, 20% chance of rain and I'm stuck inside all day.

I remember a funny St Patrick's day story from my youth days. The Youth Director at my church (an Independent Missionary Baptist Church) was not wearing green one SPD which happened to fall on a Sunday. He said, "it is a Catholic holiday, and I'm a Baptist, I don't celebrate it" lol! By the time the teenagers pinched the fire out of his arm, he wore green to the evening service!! [IMG]

    Good morning All!

There is about 12" of snow on the ground - I still say "Bah Humbug" - I hate the snow.

The only thing that makes it tolerable - is that the snow from late March snowstorms doesn't last long!

Dan - Brother Barnabas - can't change how I feel about this terrible white stuff - the rest of me is in a chipper mood!

Top o' the Mornin' to ye!

I'm wearin' my green, my Celtic cross and my Trinity shamrock pin.

Praise God for the life of Patrick, for his courage to return to the land of his captors and preach the Good News!

LOL Good morning and a Happy St. Patrick's Day to you all!

We had a good day at swim lessons. Nick is really catching on. Now we're at work. The building is cold even tho it's 51 outside so we're going to wait til it warms a little to start our school work.

Welcome Renee to our coffee house! If it's happening... it's happening here! BTW... St. Patrick wasn't Catholic! He was actually a Christian missionary BEFORE the formation of the RCC. Maybe Sue will link to her site with that info.

    Diane
