Hello, I just crossed the street from coffee house #16. It looked like it was full. All the Coffee was gone, they were out of cream so I stopped by to say hello and I hope you all had a nice day. I am going to grab a cup of coffee and call it a night. I will see you all in the morning. God Bless. [IMG]

Try warm milk, Mark, it's better than coffee around here. Double latte with cream might work, too.

Well, there was only Jim and I and I was getting cold so I went to bed. I didn't think all you others wanted to talk to me. :(

Dan, in this household once one 's children reach the age of 13 they are responsible for their own ironing. We believe in bringing our children up to be able to look after themselves, which is why we have a son who could cook you a roast dinner at age 13 and a daughter who can lay floor tiles and install a new washbasin in her cloakroom etc.

    Good morning,

I see that the multiple posting bug has also hit Dr. Bob - both he and I get A+s for our most recent multiple posting test!!!

Sheila - I don't remember how old our children were - but I suspect it was around the age of 12 or 13 - but if they wanted any clean clothes (we didn't encourage them to iron either) they had to do their own washing and drying.

Son Kelly - earned the cooking merit badge in Boys Scouts. Although Jan did most of the cooking - all three children have learned to cook rather well. In fact son Kelly earned his living for a while as a cook in the college cafeteria.

Kristi - welcome as a full member - stop by and see us any time.

I awoke this morning at my usual 5 AM - but went back to sleep.

See all of you out and about today.

    Dan

    Jim - Howdy,

George Younce, long time bass singer of the Cathedral Quartet and Jake Hess, long time lead singer of the Statemen Quartet - started the Old Friends Quartet three or so years ago and had a little fun with it.

Both George and Jake are in poor health and spend time every so often in the hospital - but when they are feeling well - we sometimes get to see them touring with Bill Gaither on his Homecoming Tours and videos.

But I don't suppose that was the old friends you were refering too.

Good Morning, It is a beautiful day here in Naples, FL. Its about 70 degrees and climbing. Its supposed to reach 85. I am already at work and am on call til 9pm. (from the house). I will be around most of the day. I am going to do some constructive reading while I work today. I hope everbody has a nice day. I will check back later. By the way, I saw the coffee house 16 all locked up for the season. I heard that this coffee house has great fellowship and the best coffee. So, I will take a large cup to go. [IMG]

Good morning! Is the board incredibly S-L-O-W this morning, or is it just me? (I'm referring to actual speed...not activity!!) [IMG]

I'm off to my Sunday School class fellowship. Hope everyone has a delightful, restful, relaxing day!!

    Good morning All,

We were having fun last night helping Jim, Donna, and Sheila increase their number of posts.

It is a great day here in Oklahoma. OU homecoming, lots of activities planned. We are playing Missouri today.

This time of year, we run the heat at night and the air conditioning in the day time.

Oops, I hear my oven timer beeping. It will not stop without me.

    See you Later.

    Betty

Thank you, once again Dr. Bob, for opening a fine new establishment in my abscence.

Mama Sue was not able to watch ANYTHING last night, boy, I just can't leave you guys alone for a MINUTE! Now, go to your corners! [IMG]

I never did get to burn my leaves. I went back out to blow the leaves away from the foundation and didn't realize there were paint chips under the leaves from when we scraped the house (thought hubby had taken care of that).

Anyway, the leaf blower blew a paint chip into my eye and it stuck. I had to go to ER and have it removed...talk about pain!

I did not feel well enough to come online last night. I have a patch over my right eye now and the white of my eye is very red now from broken blood vessels.

I did not realize how hard it was to see with only one eye! It is very sore today so I won't be posting much. I have pain medication and will probably just watch TV and sleep off and on.

    Just call me 'Patch',

    Hello Betty...cheers.

Hi Sue, and you be careful. Eyes are very precious.

So, are we now to address you as "Patches"...We had a cat called Patches once.

    Cheers,

    Jim
