I thought you had to leave?????????

One lie after another. When you tell one lie...you just keep telling more to cover the first up.

Repent David! Repent!

Actually, both you and patpace have proven yourself to have knowledge only of a twisted scripture on the FFF, and you bring that same twisted scripture here.

Here is the scripture Davidpace is looking for:

1 Timothy 5:1-2 (KJV1769):

Rebuke not an elder, but intreat him as a
father, and the younger men as brethren:
2. the elder women as mothers;
the younger as sisters, with all purity.

I chide you in the Lord, non-elder
Davidpace, to discontinue
treating the women on this board improperly.
Recommend you NOT post on this board
(as two others have recommend). Thank for
your consideration of this request.

God bless.

The Church means "Christians as a whole". Not just a building that says "church" on it. Keep standing against women preachers. That is good. Also, I don't have a problem if you are SBC. The is fine with me. As long as you are saved and believe the KJV Bible. One other thing, I do not think that I am better than any of you.
I think you're confusing the church (assembling together) Paul was referring to with the Bride of Christ.

Jesus appeared first to women and sent those women to 'tell' the disciples what they had seen. Jesus asked questions of women and allowed Mary and Martha to sit at his feet and question/ learn from his teachings. I find NO scripture where Jesus told a woman that she should not ask questions. Are you BETTER or ABOVE our Savior?

Oh No! I use the NKJV. Now I suppose you're going to tell me I'm heading straight to hell?

I reported both Davidpace and Jailminister for rudeness and disrespect, to the moderator. I would STRONGLY suggest that webmaster ban them.

I have noticed that since 1986 this "Rev." Otwell has been nothing but a protester. and has been in trouble with the law on several occasions. One was for a boys home.

I have not read anything that pertains to winning souls. Only can find things that are rebellous.

Amen, Sister Sherrie -- Preach it!

"Pastor Otwell and I stood with many other pastors
during the siege of the Indianapolis Baptist Temple
against U.S. Marshals."

If pastor Otwell supported Indianapolis Baptist
Temple, i have no use for him. The
church: Indianapolis Baptist Temple
sacrificed their own property on their
faulty view of the proper
church-state relationship.
If a church is to own land and physical
property, they have to abide by the laws
of what ever govement entity(ies) own
that land &/or property.

That's the dumbest thing I've read in a long time.

You're trying to attack my male ego! Don't you know that you have to be really insecure in your manhood for an attack like that to work? That sad attempt reveals much more about you than it does about anyone else!

For what it's worth, grasshopper is a man too. And Dr. Bob and Edifier are men if you haven't noticed.

Yes! I have read they are anti-government. And this is where the Cult begins.

They set up there own rules and government within their "church".

Here is that verse again in all three major
King James Versions:

I.Timothie V:1-2 (KJV1611):

Rebuke not an Elder, but intreate him as a
father, and the younger men as brethren:
2. The elder women as mothers,
the younger as sisters with all puritie.

1 Timothy 5:1-2 (KJV1769):

Rebuke not an elder, but intreat him as a
father, and the younger men as brethren:
2. the elder women as mothers;
the younger as sisters, with all purity.

1 Timothy 5:1-2 (KJV1873):

Rebuke not an elder, but intreat him as a
father; and the younger men as brethren;
2. the elder women as mothers;
the younger as sisters, with all purity.

Tee hee
I'm going to have to treat
Sherrie as a little (younger) sister.

Matt 18:19-20
20 For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them."

Folks, this might not be a church building but we are gathered together in His name are we not?
Remember that in your dealing with each other and resist the temptation to strike back in kind when attacked. But I do have to ask, if Mr. Pace were a member of my church and he was invoking the type of strife there as he is intent on doing here, then a would call for breaking fellowship be in order? And if the moderators don't end this vitriolic thread then perhaps the members of this board can "break fellowship" and cease posting. Just a thought.

1 Timothy 5:1-2 NKJV
Do not rebuke an older man, but exhort him as a father, younger men as brothers, older women as mothers, younger as sisters, with all purity.

Go directly to hell... do not pass go... do not use the NKJV Bible!

(Making a joke at myself guys, before Davidpace gets home to his pregnant wife.)

This moderator is ending it.

I am supposed to include an explanation in these closing posts. I am not sure that this is really necessary.

I will address a couple points at the risk of being accused of being an opportunist and getting in the last word:

Originally posted by davidpace:

I never said that they didn't have the right. I did say, however, that they have no Biblical authority to do so. This goes for this forum, as well as any forum or church in the world. Of course, you can always rip that verse out of the Bible if you don't like it. I'm sure God would understand. ;) </font>[/QUOTE]Perhaps, Mr. Pace, you would also rip these verses out of your Bible:

Philippians 4
3 And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellowlabourers, whose names are in the book of life.

or this one from the one of the very same Epistles you rely on for your argument:

1 Corinthians 11
5 But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.

I will also leave this thread with a reminder that posting on this board is not a right, it is a privilege. The represenatives of one faction of the extreme fundamental right have now caught the attention of two of the three administrators of this site, Dr. Griffin and myself.

Thread closed. I anticipate many brushfires from stamping this one out.
