Get a book, "Forever Settled" by Jack Moorman

And what academic qualifications make Moorman more qualified to weigh in on the issue than, say, Kurt Aland or Bruce Metzger?

y izzit that KJBOs always balk at completing the phrase "Forever settled ___ _________"?

one of their top 10 phobias, perhaps, to realize that GOd ALSO preserved His Word--more perfectly than the ones they hold--in **Heaven.** [IMG]

Are you telling me that academic honesty in this study is not necessary? Circle one: Yes No

Or that I am not a Bible believer because I believe the Bible is in the Greek/Hebrew and in every accurate translation into every language? Circle one: Yes No

No, This website is "a Survey of the Documents AND History of the Bible." This history of the Bible tells you and proves its evidences of the Bible.

Metzger, an unbeliever? Or Moorman, a believer?

Why did you violate with the Scripture, 2 Corinthians 6:14?

"Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?"

Only one problem, with "Forever Settled" by Jack Moorman, we have got the physical evidence of the LXX existing over a century before the birth of Christ.
Should I post the pictures again? [IMG]

</font>[/QUOTE]but nobody was accusing Moorman of being an unbeliever.

he may be academically dishonest w the evidence, for whatever motives, but his salvation wasn't impugned.

First, I didn't ask what their spiritual state was, but their academic qualifications. Bruce Metzger has spent an entire lifetime studying this issue, and has earned the right to be given more consideration than Moorman, who has not.

Second, I have seen no evidence that Bruce Metzger is an "unbeliever," except of the he-doesn't-toe-our-party-line variety.

Those fragments do not a LXX make.

1)That is not a Greek Old Testament.

    2)That is not Isaiah,Hosea,or Psalms.

3)No New Testament writer quoted one verse in any of those Papyri.

Which papyri? The ones that do not exist? This denial of truth and attempt to rewrite history is more than a little annoying to us.

Again I ask, WHY is admitting that there were Greek translations of the OT in existence at the time of Christ and over 100 quotations from said Greek (NOT Hebrew) in the NT so much of an issue to the "only" sect?

    Thanks

Did Bruce tell the whole truth on textual criticism? I do not think so. Bruce and W/H agreed each other concerning their textual criticism on manuscript evidences, however W/H admitted the fact, which I know, that supported the Traditional family. Bruce covered up because he refused to admit honestly. Interestingly, they contradicted each other on manuscript evidences.

It is your denial. You need to look at the website here: Metzger

That's nice, but I am more interested in the evidence than the contents of your skull. I have seen a lot of the latter, and so far none of the former.

It is your denial. You need to look at the website here:

Cloud piles up multiple quotes of Metzger saying "Some scholars believe," and then arbitrarily assigns all such beliefs to Metzger himself without a single justification for doing so. That proves nothing, except what we already knew: David Cloud is often grossly dishonest.

talk abt going off topic. anyway, the issue of scholars' orthodoxy is irrelevant as KJBOs have been unable to show--despite the Liberalism of some textual critics--how their doctrinal beliefs affected their textual choices in the least. nor have they shown how the KJB's Anglican scholars twisted the text they were using just becos they were a buncha genuflecting Anglicans. if anything, they made the exact SAME textual choices over 90% of the time!

but back to the topic, what abt the LXX? why duck the evidence?
